so, something that I thought I would write a little bit about was the OOG aspect of the EMH crew, and my spin of it. Obviously, the cast are all acting, and they have their real selves and their EMH selves. From what I can tell, they all have their own lives, obviously, and lives outside of the series. It is true that I have contacted them before with OOG questions, but each time I have been wary of annoying them. Watching the ustream videos gave me an idea of how many questions the group are faced with, and that a lot of these questions can be very irritating plot digging questions. They must always get questions about the plot, which they will not reveal.
My spin on it is simple. I ask nothing of the plot or characters that would be significant. There is no fun in that. Each time I have contacted the crew, I have tried to be polite and not too overbearing, something I think I might have failed in. I tend to gush over things I enjoy, and I know how dirty that sounded. Its almost embarrassing reading the first message I sent the guys, even I think its a bit stalkerish. What I worry about is coming off as a weirdo, so I try to explain that im not a weirdo in a way that makes me seem weirder. Try working that one out.
Anyway, there are two email addresses that you can contact the crew on.
The ARG address: everymanHYBRID@gmail.com
The OOG address: jeffreykoval@gmail.com
im not violating any privacy issues here (I hope) I found both addresses on sites run by the crew. Jeff Koval (Jeff) “accepts” fan questions at the OOG address. Im not highlighting the “accepts” to question him, more that I found the address quite recently, and I am still not sure whether this is still the case, I may have contacted him against his wishes, oops.
To contact the actual cast, that is Evan, Jeff or Vince, then email the ARG address, but do not probe into plot details that they cannot answer about, or questions that have already been asked. Just do a little digging, you should find the answers. Heck, read my blog, ive included nearly everything I could find on the series.
Im not saying that you should email the crew, im not trying to spread these addresses to encourage this, im just making them available here on my deserted blog so that you don't need to hunt around for them.
I will also say that I have contacted the group three times. Firstly after starting my account to document play-lists, back in September. I did receive a reply from Jeffrey Koval's OOG youtube account, having sent an OOG question to the ARG channel, not purposely of course.
The second two messages were sent to the OOG address, and I received prompt replies from the crew, to which I am most grateful. I wont post here what I asked or said, and I wont post what the reply was, but I can assure you that if you approach them kindly enough and not too overbearing then you will receive a response. Just please don't keep asking about the plot, I mean...
where’s the fun in that? :)
