Summary
This is the first upload set of my finding and commentary on the EMH suggested viewing order playlist found on my page. For further reading, see the EMH wiki, everything here is mostly opinion, and anything that I present as fact, I have found on the wiki.
Introduction
so, EMH has been my favourite ARG since I first watched it, it managed to edge out TJAP by just a little bit, and in turn MLAnderson0 as well. I think the reason I love it so, is that I came into the game a bit late, so there were a lot of entries waiting for me to take a look at and I wasn't trying to figure stuff out for myself the first time. I was just watching. But this is my 4th viewing of the series, and the 2nd viewing of the suggested viewing order playlist that is up on my channel. I hope to give a play by play commentary basically, each paragraph about the next video, starting at about entry 5 purely because the first 4 entries can be summed up pretty easily.
The Fitness Videos
So the first 4 entries aren’t that special in terms of what to look for and secrets. The main point is that you spot the “hidden” slendermen and detect that they are too obvious and therefore faked. Well some of them anyway. The videos follow a decent pattern, showing the characters well though not really developing Jeff yet. Entry 3 is the first major point of interest really, the point where Vince reveals the dream in which he is chased through the woods, and you can clearly see that Evan has either had the same dream, or an equally freaky recurring dream of his own, and he recedes into his commonly silent and ponderous state in which he just seems a little bit scary. There is also the cardio and outside video that gives away a lot of decent hints towards the storyline. There is a lot of slenderman sightings, though most are presumed to be fake. Evan spends most of the video in his deep thoughtful mode, often seen pondering the small doll he was allegedly given. The main point in this video is that the fake slendys become more obvious, and Evan is given a slenderman doll by a little girl, though this may not be real or fake, at this point it is hard to determine, though Evan's reaction suggests that it is real. Anyway, that about sums up the major plot points of these first few videos.
Entry 5
The next point of interest would be the upper-body and arms segment in the basement. Where slendy can be seen walking behind Vince while he talks about curls. Its a small viewing stage, in the upper left basement window. First the shape moves across then minor audio distortion comes in as you see the slendy head. Then when the head snaps to look inside, “the lights go out”. Well, not really, the camera has a flash effect and fades to blank, not darkness, and then fades up after Evan has “fixed” the problem. It is possible that this slendy could be real, as the effect is very distinct on the lighting, though it could still be a set up. The major point that I found was the shadowy figure at the back of the room at about 3:31. it moves off-screen and makes a bit of noise, prompting Evan to peer over repeatedly, sparking his interest. This is the first time that you can see Evan's inquisitive side, that borders on the aggressive at times. Its the same side that forced him to run after slendy and the rake in later entries. Oh yeah, that would be a spoiler.
. . .
following on from Entry 5 we have the first of the Morse videos, videos that are not uploaded or even detected by the team at EMH, and later on have a theory confirming effect on them. This sets the trend for the rest of the Morse videos, basically its a series of clips running through plots points that we should not be seeing, that the team does not want us to see. In this entry we find out that they had faked the slendy sightings, albeit kind of obvious. We also find out that someone has broken into Evan's house, which is revealed in the next entry I believe. The song “who could win a rabbit” by Animal Collective makes its first appearance in the series, prompting the words rabbit and habit in the lyrics, and foreshadowing the appearance of these two vital and significant devices.
We also see signs that Evan is exhibiting the “slender-sickness” has the interwebz has dubbed it. I am not convinced that this is the case and the other symptoms never are shown and the effects are still as prominent in the entries anyway. I feel that this is purely the first sign in the iteration theory.
By the way, the iteration theory basically predicts that the characters are merely avatars of higher characters and that they live through the same struggle in various periods. Evidence is the Corenthal letters and so on, there will be more on this theory when I can type about it without giving away spoilers. So anyway, it is basically the first sign that Evan is becoming the aggressive and potentially dangerous character that is presented later on. This is also shown by the compulsive sharpening of the knife to which the link is made. We are shown that Evan has a strong affinity for knives, and this is the first point in the series that SPOILER ALERT Evan might be HABIT, and I strongly believe he is. And finally we are shown the closing door, almost able to see slendy behind it as well. Anyway, onto the next one now.
Entry 6
this starts off fairly normally, a side gag at the lack of Vince due to his ugliness. It may just be a throw-away gag, but I have a feeling it could be a precursor to a potential rift between the group, be it in the past or future. The lack of Vince also begs the question as to, who is filming this episode?
After the shopping scenes at the beginning we are presented with some audio distortion and a blank screen for a couple of seconds before being taken to the car.
From there we hear the end of a sentence, the camera blurs and the audio heavily distorts. Then it is shown that something is in the back of Evan's car, and Vince and Jeff notice this. They think its their friend trying to scare him. But its not. It is most likely slendy, and I reckon this could be another point that moves Evan more towards the aggressively paranoid character we later see. After this the camera goes all fish eye and a disturbing sound of a crying baby is played. Then we arrive home. Jeff asks “where’s Dave?”, the guy who was thought to be scaring Evan in the car. Again, this is false and it could be that Dave was taken by slendy, though he is actually back at the house, and Evan was alone in the car, well apart from slendy. The audio and camera distorts once more.
As the continued distortions plays out Evan is told “second story dude” and we see slendy in the window. This is the first occurrence of a real slenderman sighting, or at least one that the group acknowledge. Frantic running and entry to the house follows.
They find Dave, I think, upstairs ready to shoot with the slenderman stuff in the car. Evan seems pissed and a door is heard to slam. The camera pans round jaggedly and we see the first image of slenderman fully in the door frame, shaking his head. The door closes of its own accord and Vince and Evan try to break it down. Evan is on the offensive from the beginning, more aggressive than we have previously seen. They break down the door to a dark and empty room, they finally conclude that they all saw it and the video ends.
Public Address video
so this is the tipping point of the early series really, this is where the group admit they were planting the slendy stuff, but its gotten serious. Vince seems worried, Jeff seems cautious and Evan seems pissed, and rightly so. Other than that, the video seems to be purely about the group admitting what we already knew from the last two videos, and Evan issues the amnesty which goes unanswered. He also sets the threat at this point.
A Day In The Life
not sure why, but this is one of my favourite videos. This is the first time we see Jeff's girlfriend JessA, not to be confused with JessE. We are also introduced to Ryan and Alex, Jeff's brother who goes a bit psycho later on. The video progresses normally with no major plot point until the 3:49 mark when we see Evan staring off into a fallen tree, appearing to ignore the others for a while, and Vince remarks “Evan is just...being Evan”. It is unclear what this means at this point, though it is another instance where Evan is seemingly far away and despondent He doesnt seem like Evan. He then goes to touch the tree and the group call him on, snapping him out of whatever had him staring off. Evan is again seen to be separated from the group, either walking ahead or in the wrong direction. The group is also seen investigating an old tool shed, and they happen upon what is widely believed to be the old Corenthal house, or at least a place of significance with the Mining Town Four. It is the same place Evan ends up in later videos after SPOILER ALERT chasing the rake through the tunnel in Alex's bedroom.
At the back of the house there is what looks to be an old overgrown garden, to which Evan stares into again.
Near the end of the video Evan displays a clear need to get out of the woods as it is nearing the evening, and he needs to be back indoors before nightfall. Another symptom that he is under the effect of the slenderman.
Sleep and dreams video
this basically sets up the next set of videos really, nothing important is said or should be noted here.
Sleep lab part 1
starts off with the set up for the video, and the duo, Jeff and Vince, note that they will be drawing down any hallucinations they may encounter. Though it should be noted that while they are seen to be drawing in the video, these drawings are not shown later on. The video breaks nearing the 2 minute mark and it is clear that the U-stream video has just ended. The duo have found a shrine type collection of photos in a closet in the house, and remark that Evan will go mental if he sees it. The photos are typically vandalised with pen and bare phrases like “the words” and “can you see”, and the iconic purple tape is seen. At 2:20 a slenderman has been inked into a photo. The duo believe that someone is trying to mess with Evan, but in my own theory SPOILER ALERT I reckon that Evan did this. I reckon that he switches between HABIT and Evan, and when he stares off into the distances and goes aggressive, is HABIT coming through. There is strong evidence that Evan is HABIT, and we shall see this later on. The duo say that Evan will freak out, and that he isn’t getting back to normal, meaning that they have noted the change in him, and can sense his other side.
The duo then try to prank Evan into a play fight, but he is too despondent and focussed on the “can you see the words” (last I checked the blog is empty, meaning I missed the good stuff) blog he is reading on the computer, that he doesnt react much, until the real Evan comes back and he engages in the play fight. He does look around, pissed and almost snapping, but Jeff laughs it off.
At around 4:35 slenderman can be seen standing on the right hand of the screen, something I only noticed on this viewing. The others don't seem to notice him. At 4:30 the red poster has changed and reads a vital plot point I reckon “surrender the ARK” though some reckon it might be “surrender two the ARK”, possibly referring to the leaked videos, totheark from Marble Hornets, or the candleverse, or even the actually ARK, a place that is believed to be safe from the slenderman, though hasn’t been proven yet and is merely hypothetical.
Sleep lab part 2
so heres the second part of the sleep lab, featuring Evan's dream diary. There's not a lot of awfully important plot points here, obviously the dream is the most prominent point. The screaming and running and the woods are all majors points in the plot line, and could be a precursor to the later entry of Evan finding the bags of blood and shit in the woods. It should also probably be noted that the HYBIRDs cannot see the bad dream sequence, much like they cannot see the Morse videos. Im not entirely sure when this happens, but this http://twitpic.com/1x6vqn picture shows the dreams that group have been having, and it completely foreshadows the Joke's Over video where the bags are found in the woods.
- - -
again this video is showing footage that wasn't supposed to be leaked, mainly of the cast discussing the slenderman and possibly HABIT stuff, and whether they should stop the videos. Obvious the Freddy Krueger glove could be a foreshadow for Evan's affinity for knives, and the video passes through showing odd disjointed clips in the typical Morse video way. The only real noteworthy stuff that I found, and I mean stuff that doesnt simply confirm what we the viewers knew, but that actually enters new evidence, is the following text from the video.
Jeff: I’m sorry guys.
Vince: Jeff, don’t worry about it. We- we get this. [Jumpcut] He’s had this happen before.
Evan: Yes sir.
Vincent: And you know, the way that I see it is… I mean, I honestly thought it would be over with Evan, but it seems like… it’s come full circle.
This is vital in my eyes, the way that we now know that Evan has had this happen before, meaning that the group may have experienced the same set of events before these videos, and the way Vince says its come full circle, supports the iteration theory.
Damsel 1
http://canyouseethewords.tumblr.com/post/727606551
the next video in the correct order is damsel's first video
not a lot to be said on this, only that Damsel watches the EMH team and knows more than she is letting on.
Slushpops and Surprises
only really two noteworthy pieces here, the card is actually coordinates leading to the first box, and the final message at the end “enter the tragic hero and his unattainable companion”, which I believe to be the official entry point for both HABIT and the rake. Mainly due to the boxes being part of HABIT's game from the numerical annotations, and the whole sentence seems to indicate them.
Again, the end part of the video is not seen by the cast.
The time line then splits, either going on with Box 1, the second EMH ustream, which I will be covering in the ustream post, and the next EMH video.
Self Defence
another set of key clues here, and the precursor to Evan sitting alone and talking to himself. Mainly, the points to look out for are the hidden slendys, and the sheer prowess that Evan shows with defence and offence. Another point is the knife fight scenes, Evan can seem quite uneasy with being left without a knife of his own, shown when Vince points the knife at Evan, who nervously laughs and says “dont do that” in that quite serious way he has. Its also the sheer violence he talks about when defending against the knife, “biting his throat out” was one line that really drives the psycho side home.
Some point after this video Damsel releases her second video here http://canyouseethewords.tumblr.com/post/918054121, which shows her and JessA were friends, we also see Evan running behind them at full spring, though this is never referenced or mentioned later on.
Box 1
So after the self defence video we have the first box, this one from GreenFeathers, who appears in the EMH videos later. The boxes are usually graffitied with phrases and words that seem linked to the crew, and they usually contain stuff that aids the viewers in working the plot out. It is likely that the boxes are sent ans stashed by HABIT, as they play into his trials quite easily.
The first box here shows the typical style of boxes we will see later, the slenderman images, and the usual plot defining pieces found within. This one has the photos from sleep lab 1, where the little shrine is set up. The boxes usually have a relatively important quote as well. It should also be noted that the photos seen here are all seen by Evan first, in fact the last time we see them before then end up in the box, its in a twitpic here http://twitpic.com/1we6cl with Evan looking at them, supporting the facts that Evan is HABIT and HABIT is sending the boxes out.
Jokes Over
the clip begins with Evan sitting behind Vince, who tells us about the seriousness of What’s going on. The clip also starts with a metallic sound, which the crew later explain away to be either the tripod or the usb part of the camera, and Vince says that it was not Evan's knife, though I still believe it is. The looks on both Evan's and Vince's faces can show that Evan is forcing Vince to be calm by holding a knife to his back, and even though this has been said to be false, this could also be the group trying to cover it up in case Evan flips out of them telling us and does something worse. I strongly believe that the group know exactly how affected Evan is, and they know what he is capable of.
This is the “wham” episode, the entry where the group gives up any pretence of fitness and well-being in their videos, and it purely becomes a documentary about their situation. Even though the group has been reluctant to talk about slenderman up until this point, this really is the changing point in the series, and though they are still reluctant to talk about him, they base all videos either on him or the events that they are a party to.
The person who spammed the group with the dead animal videos has not been named, and though there isn’t any solid link yet, I reckon that HABIT was behind this, as it fits his MO.
Basically this video is about the hiking video they tried to make, which was suggested in the last Ustream, and then something happened. Something not planned.
Evan has his favourite knife with him in this video as well, something he might need.
Slenderman can be seen over Vince's right shoulder from 1:45, though no distortion is seen and the group does not notice him. This is not likely to be a repeat of the fake slendy. Some strange roaring sound and the sirens come into play at about 2:05, visual distortion then appears and the group notice slendy behind them, Vince turns, as does Evan. Jeff notices on camera, and Evan grabs his knife and runs off in pursuit. This is either Evan himself, or it could be the possessing force, HABIT. Though there is strong evidence that HABIT is Evan, it could be a little less of a connection there, maybe HABIT being some sort of possessing spirit or a part of Evan's possibly split personality. Needless to say, Evan has run off in a fury over slendy, and is fully intent on killing him. The sirens disappear when slendy walks off but come back when they pass the first bag on the right. We then see Evan on the ground, kneeling, his knife sticking in the ground as if he had stabbed something there. He is surrounded by hanging black bags, which lead back to the original slenderman mythos. The sirens can also be heard here, though they slowly fade away, as if slendy is moving further away. Evan remains still until Vince stabs a black bag, to which he jumps a little and turns to watch the blood flow. He then begins to manically laugh throughout the rest of the video, maybe even taking joy in the suffering that could have come to what or who was in those bags. This is another clear indication of Evan's psychoses. Jeff backs away as Evan laughs on, looking at the terrified pair. Vince stands there, blood on his hands, disbelief over what they have found. There is some theory that says that JessA, Jeff's missing girlfriend is the victim of slendy, and that she is in those bags. It should also be noted that the sirens have been remarked upon beforehand, in the Ustream videos, Jeff mentions hearing sirens and the sound of children when slendy is around. This is also the video in which Jeff disappears, looking for something.
It should also be noted that after this video, and before the next one, Box 2 is found, and it all takes place on a blog, but the contents can be found at the EMH Wiki on this http://everymanhybrid.wikia.com/wiki/Box_2 page, so make sure to check that out before the next video.
Jeff
so the next video after all of that, if Jeff. Basically, Evan and Vince go to Jeff's house in search of answers. The first important point is the distortion and altered events of opening the front door, seeing Alex at the door with purple tape over his mouth, much like Evan in the 3rd Ustream, and the shadowy, possibly Jeff, figure in the background. Again, the crew cannot see this. The video then goes back to normal, and we see the normal door opening, albeit a little jittery Its also announced that JessA had broken up with Jeff prior to this video. We see a purple taped notebook with a slenderman drawing inside, and a note sayin that he is onto something. We also find the USB stick that has the 77of76 and 78of76 videos on it, though they are currently corrupted. The USB stick is also found on top of a copy of house of leaves. That's pretty much it for this video.
I'm Okay
this is the next video in the series, and it shows Jeff wandering through his burnt out old school. It can be quite hard to listen to the audio, so im just going to direct you to this transcript: http://everymanhybrid.wikia.com/wiki/I%27m_Okay, which is definitely worth a read. As noted on the same page, the audio distortion at 1:33 does sound like laughing, heavily distorted childlike laughter, almost like the sort that is heard when slendy is around. Not an awful lot of highly important plot details are in this video, the main point is the medical records that Jeff finds are the Corenthal letters, so this would be the right point to start reading those. Just like the SEVENTRIALSOFHABIT, The Leaked Videos and the Corenthal Letters, I will be posting my findings and observations about those separately, just like I did with the ustream videos. I suppose the other important note would be that Jeff was left alone to die in a burning building, possibly burning due to the slenderman, as he is known to do this, though the issues Jeff has with this incident are not brought up later.
.-
the next Morse video follows, and I think its the first time we see the underwater clips.
Just one note about the Morse videos, they spell out CHAOS backwards when viewed in order, possible suggesting that they should be viewed in reverse. Again, the “who could win a rabbit” song is heard, suggesting that HABIT is behind this video. The video shows Jeff visiting the widow Corenthal. As soon as the door opens, we get a screamer, the distorted scream and the hand clawing at the floor, im not sure why, but I have a hunch it is Evan's hand. Jeff then asks to speak to the good doctor about his friends who may have been patients, it then clips to Evan, seemingly wanting to link that he is likely to have been a patient. He is reading an odd note book, possibly showing sketches of the rake, and seeming to be Jeff's. She tells Jeff that “James” hasn’t seen a patient for years, to which Jeff enquires about HABIT. A clip back to the hand dragging away, who could win a rabbit plays again, the camera and touch flick around trying to seek something out, and we see a clip of slendy walking past a pillar. She then tells Jeff that the doctor died a few years ago, and urges to him to leave. Then a flash clip of what looks to be either Evan or Vince under water with a bubble stream rising around them. One final clip of Jeff from a day in the life, and the video blurs to an end.
78of76.avi
the first of the videos retrieved from the memory stick found in Jeff's room. Firstly it shows Evan and Jeff attempting the door of what could be the old Corenthal house on the hiking trail. The same door they emerge from later in the series after following the rakes trail. They make it inside the basement, though there seems to be no reason to break into the area. It should be noted that from the entry into the basement, soft sounds of the sea can be heard. This basement is of obvious importance, and its almost like they are not supposed to be there at this point, this could be why they are taken to the beach. This clip demonstrates the powers of both time manipulation and transportation that slendy possesses, and this clip is the first instance that it is shown in the series. The group is unsure of their location, though it does trigger Evan's mode of despondence and staring as he wanders over to the water. As usual, the crew doesnt remember this happening. It takes place around the time of the day in the life. It is rumoured that this video was filmed in the future and sent back to the past, though there isn’t sufficient evidence to support this, and how far in the future is not determined.
No Hysterics, Not Yet
not a lot of noteworthy material in this entry, more of a continuance of Jeff's little branch out. Basically, just read the transcript here: http://everymanhybrid.wikia.com/wiki/No_hysterics._Not_yet,If you are unsure of anything.
Not a lot to be said about this one.
Reunion
basically, Jeff is back, he has found whatever he was looking for, seemingly the Corenthal Letters. Both Vince and Evan seem pissed at something, though Vince seems more tired than pissed.
The group found an odd note, and a few odd shots, though Vince doesnt want to jump to conclusions with it, which obviously outrages Evan, who has obviously made a big deal out of this, and rightly so. I actually like the way that they cut Evan off, almost like they have heard it all before, and they just want to get rid of it lately, Jeff and Vince don't seem like they want to talk about anything slendy related anyway.
It cuts away to the group in Jeff’s burned out old elementary school, searching around for more of the official letters and anything important. Im not entirely sure its an elementary school somehow, the way that the rooms are arranged and the fact that these highly secret Corenthal letters are just lying around in an old office, does not make it seem like a school. Im wondering whether it may be the boys old mental ward, or at least Corenthal's hospital.
At 2:06, slendy can be seen behind Jeff, behind the distortion that he is causing, though the group do not notice him. Oddly enough, no sirens are heard. He remains in his position for a while. The odd note, from Linnie, is the very beginning of the introduction of the rake. Though he has been referenced in the Ustream as the infamous dragging scene, this is the first hint towards who would be behind that, as this letter follows the similar patterns of the rake's creepypasta. Transcript of the note is below:
“Who are you, my dear friend, to reach someone like me? I look forward to our reunion in Hell. Otherwise, I fear my warnings have fallen on deaf ears. The sight of his black eyes, his markings, this face not human, now has claimed another one of us. I’m sorry I was too late. – Linnie.”
Jeff protests to Vince's solution to just trash these notes that are apparently, always finding. Then there is the walking away scene, where slendy just looks on as they walk down the hallway, camera hanging upside down. Visual distortion, though no sound.
And then we move onto Evan's very serious, but quite awesome speech about their situation. He seems to know more about what is going on than he lets on, saying that he can see that slendy is more than just a guy in a suit, that he is so much worse. Maybe he remembers a previous experience or altercation with slenderman. His speech about taking slendy down is a very nice move, nice to see a slendy victim going on the offensive, though when Evan says about taking him down, he doesnt notice that he is standing behind him, from about 4:26, and only for a few moments.
My First Video Chaps!
The first video from Alex, Jeff’s 16 yo little brother, who seems to have taken inspiration from his brothers mates and started his own little series, maybe not the best thing, as the slenderman seems to feed and grow on the video attention, things just tend to get worse once the videoing starts, and it draws people in.
its nice to see what Alex really thinks about the slenderman stuff. Second time viewers may note the dramatic irony that he thinks Jeff is psycho, when it turns out to be the other way around.
Troll Catch
So, this is the 25th video in the suggested viewing order, and we are a whole 3rd the way in. this is another video from Alex, this time Alex tries to troll his brother, constructing a fake slenderman out of a few bottles and hoses, trying to freak his brother out in the most ineffective way. Jeff ain’t happy with this though.
Cops Checked, No Body
and here we are with another WHAM episode, adding a very vital new addition to the horrors the group must now face. We firstly see that Mitziestar aka JessE is back, and is joining the group for a short while. We also see the first appearance of the postcard, the Ashen Waste postcard.
Evan fills JessE in on what has happened, and states that they are being harassed by a guy dressed like slenderman “at least that's what the boys think”, showing that they are still at odds about the validity of the slenderman. The group are heading to Lambertville to seek out the land of Ashen Waste. They also mention the Morse videos, of which they cannot see.
We also find out that JessE's uncle is Dr Corenthal.
And then the reveal, they arrive at Lambertville, only to find a dead body. The body contains a note, and serious cuts on the forearm holding the note. It initially looks like a suicide. Then we see the rake, scuttling across the background, and suddenly its not a suicide. The group leave, and run. We hear the grunting breathing noise of the rake as he moves, and the video cuts.
The video returns to Evan and JessE, who are hurried to leave by Jeff and Vince.
Does Anyone Else’s Dog Do This?
Another Alex video here, this time its of sparky, detecting something in the closet, and scratching at it. The grunting, breathing noise of the rake is heard, and some say they can hear JessA begging for help among the noise. Alex checks the closet but finds nothing, sparky is still not satisfied. It has begun, the rake is in the house, and the rake saga is now on.
In which I assume the role of a 13 year old my-space girl.
Just a short video montage of Jeff and JessA, mainly a device used to deepen the relationship there, owing to the fact that the audience that has only watch the videos, and not gone to the twitter or anything, will not have seen much of JessA and may be confused as to her situation.
The distortion is notable in places, and at around 0:53 an image appears of slendy, pencil drawn, with what looks to be “guilt” written over it. After doing a tiny bit of research, the distortion in the audio cuts off the D in Dark, one of the lyrics, making the line far more significant “I will follow you into the -ark” to the ark. Totheark. Related? Crossover? Maybe, definitely not just a reference as the group are unable to see or hear this, meaning it is significant. And apparently, during the video you can hear a voice, similar to that of the rake, saying “wait”, which ties in nicely with the last video in order, the “does anyone else’s dog do this?” video, in which the sounds of the rake are mixed with JessA. It may be possible that she is the rake, twisted and warped by slendy or HABIT, and no longer able to control herself, locked away deep in her psyche. Or maybe she can communicate from where she is through the rake.
According to TvTropes, the video can be classed as a “definitely dead montage”, which is basically a video over sad music that signifies the end of a character's life. In this case, it would be the sad longing for JessA, and the fact that even without looking things up, you already have that feeling that she is gone. Many doubt we will see her again, not alive at least.
Btw, ive listened to the slide clip to hear the “wait” voice, but cannot hear a thing, so don't panic if you cant pick it up.
EDIT: ok, so i downloaded the song cause i like it, and i found something i had missed. the lyrics of the song are incredibly important. not only do they reinforce the link between Jeff and JessA, but they suggest that Jeff will follow JessA to where ever she may be, even into death SPOILER and anyone who has seen the HALLOWEEN HANGOVER video will know that he may have already done this SPOILER END. this song strongly suggests that Jeff will be killed off during the series.

Injustice
before this video, I should mention that Jeff and Damsel had their little twitter bitch fest, and Jeff threw a tantrum and called the cops, incarcerating Damsel (explaining the Damsel video later) go check that out if you haven't seen it, the twitter fight that is :http://everymanhybrid.wikia.com/wiki/Twitter#Twitter_Fight
so anyway, this video is in response to Jeff’s actions, and its from the almighty Evan (that sounds a little familiar[?]).
Again, not an awful lot of stuff to report on, though mainly this video is a little catch us session, allowing the viewers to get a bearing on the situation.
Good Things To Come
Simple video from Alex again, which doesnt really give away very many plot details, though it does elaborate a little on the rake in the closet (though not in that way), and sets up the next part of the rakes story.
The Leaked Videos
the leaked videos (Slender Man, Welcome To The ARK, and Canon?) will be posted separately along with the SEVENTRIALSOFHABIT and the Corenthal Letters, as part of the special segment section to come later, so come back for that. If I have enough time to crank through it all, I’ll post about Damsel's tumblr as well, but that seems like a long read at the moment, and I haven't even completed the core series commentary yet...
Ashen Waste
“shit just got real” pretty much sums this up.
The group have gone to the police over the body and the note found previously, but the cops have found no body and have warned the group off of contacting them again.
The note says that the person was heading east to find someone else who knows about Corenthal. The body was that of Linnie's, which it is revealed in the Corenthal letters that she was adopted by Corenthal after the events with the mining town four. Even Linnie does not know what happened to Corenthal, and is seeking answers by trying to find the EMH crew. It is not clear who the letter is supposed to be sent to and the name is removed, and the bottom of the note has more coordinates for a box, which Vince states is open for anyone to find as they do not have the time.
Then they move onto the postcard sent to Jeff reading “greetings from the land of ashen waste”, which the group has been hinted towards it being this factory place on Brooklyn which had had a fire described as a, “ashen waste”. The clip then plays of them at this factory.
Jeff is already doubtful that this trip with produce anything. The group is looking for signs, markings or any signs of fire. After finding an odd reservoir/pool thing, Evan finds a bat, which he takes with him. Inside the warehouse, there is odd machinery that looks similar to that found in Marble Hornets. The group has a brief look around. Evan begins to head outside as he cant breath well indoors. At the doorway he sees something to which he pauses before saying: “Oh I'm gonna kill you motherfucker--” and then runs off out of the door. Vince follows behind, though not as keen to run out. Vince then stops as Evan reaches the slenderman, who is simply standing and watching Jeff and Vince. Slenderman seems to be about 10ft tall here, and is not bothered by Evan to begins to swing wildly. Evan is about to make contact when the video cuts.
In a ustream video, Evan recalls what happened here. He said he swung the bat home, and when it came close it felt like it had hit water and it slowed down. The bat stopped, there was an immense pain, slenderman was gone and he was on the floor. Since the event, Evan has given repeated advice not to engage slenderman, though the extent to which he follows this is questionable. His attitude is definitely “do as I say, not as I do”.
The camera flickers with distortion for a few seconds then fades to black for a few more, showing that they were still filming and that the footage has not been removed, only severely distorted.
Vince slowly approaches Evan, who is on the ground, still with his bat. Evan quickly tries to get back up and fight, stumbling and swigging the back giving off grunts and bloodied roars. Vince tries to calm him, trying to get him to lay down once more. Evan is obviously bewildered and unaware of himself at this point, and promptly, but briefly, faints. Jeff and Vince then rush in to help him up, he is bloodied around the mouth and asks “what happened?” then “did I kill him?” showing that slenderman did some considerable damage, though obviously restrained itself to stop from killing Evan, and that Evan was not aware of the events until later. Again, in the ustream Evan describes how annoyingly close he was to making contact, even showing that this pissed him off more, the missed opportunity.
The duo bundle him into the back of the car, as Evan says a significant quote “I should have my knife” again deepening his love for blades, and the need to have it around him. I wont be surprised if the last thing Evan ever does is stab slenderman with that knife, one last strike.
Evan states that he thinks he will be OK, but Jeff and Vince aren’t so sure. They head off in pursuit of a doctor to help Evan, but their car enters into something.
In a ustream video, Jeff reveals that the clocks of the car were not working, the group got lost and that they had no idea where anywhere was. It seems that they were taken into the same realm shown in the leaked videos. A very apt choice of music here “Hotel California” is played on the car radio. It should also be noted that no other cars or pedestrians are seen during this time. The boys are lone.
At 5:45, after from brief distortion, the group spots the slenderman, though we cannot see him yet. We see him at the 6 minute mark. A storm ensues above them, and the group “gun it” in an attempt to run him down. Evan perks up here and begins to laugh, almost maniacally. The car speedily approaches slenderman and....
they wake up in the basement. Several hours have passed, and they have not been conscious. They have no memory of driving home. It is later revealed via ustream that the car suffered no damage from the impact, suggesting that there was no impact at all, more that slenderman had moved them, transported them.
Vince is the first to wake, and begins to wake the others.
A pretty significant video by my reckoning, and the first occurrence in any series where slenderman is attacked. I love the way that Evan actually backs up his bravado, though it does no good. Ustream hold a lot of answers for this video, so check out the ustream videos, or to possibly save time, read the ustream entry on this blog for important information.
The Box 3 Series
so, these videos are fairly self explanatory in themselves, with the entire series of events, from finding the box to revealing the contents. This is the first box that contains a Corenthal letter. For both the Corenthal letters and the boxes, see their respective sections within this blog.
Business Cards On A Plane
another video from Alex.
Alex has found a trail of shredded papers leading to his closet, notably the rake destroying Jeff’s document cache. Alex does find a business card, EMH, with the coordinates for the bag on the back. Alex asks Jeff about it, and he quickly changes topic, only to avoid the real answer later. An exterminator will come later to clear out the “rats”, though it is revealed in the im okay video from Alex, that the exterminator is taken by the rake, leaving his tools and truck behind.
The Bag
again, I have covered this in the collective entry on the boxes, so to save from repeating myself, I’ll just direct you there.
Centralia
the video starts off with no audio, the crew is driving along to somewhere, Centralia, Evan drawing in the back. They arrive at a blocked off road.
Now, background, Centralia is an old mining town. Yes, you are correct. The mining town from with the mining town four are from, though this video doesnt show the remains of the town, this is where the mining town four lived before the mine fire started underground. The town is the basis for the movie adaptation of Silent Hill, and the story is a simple one. The town was over the top of a large coal vein in the ground, which was being mined. An incident occurred in 1967 (I think) whereby the coal vein was ignited into a huge blaze, that is still burning to this day. This is all true btw. The town has dangerous levels of carbon monoxide in the air, and any and all citizens of the town were actually payed by the government to leave. Some few people still remain there, but the town is no more than a few buildings along a broken road.
The road the crew enter from is a real road, and the graffiti is all real as well. Though it is real there are some parts of the graffiti that may be used by the crew in the plot, as the pre-existing graffiti is perfect for adding to the plot. Most of the graffiti is simple, mostly silent hill quotes.
Anyway, the group pull up at the road block of the now abandoned section of route 62.
the group set off on foot along the highway. Btw, the quote saying “this town will eventually take me...this town will win”, don't read too much into that, its a lyric from the soundtrack of silent hill homecoming.
The footage flicks between Jeff and Vince's cameras. The crew then arrive as a sort of plain.
Jeff then runs off after something, full sprint. I haven't notice this before, and I haven't seen anyone else notice it either. There is a figure in the right hand side of the screen, or what appears to be a figure, just before Jeff runs off. It looks to be the right same, and it is far too dark to be anything else. The symbol they find is also freshly drawn, unless Jeff draws it before the group arrive. The footage then cuts to Jeff running in a day in the life, a very significant video as it turns out, a lot of clips in it ending up in a lot of entries. There is then a short pan over the town of Centralia. The video cuts between footage of the surrounding area, the Centralia footage and a day in the life. They then catch up to Jeff.
Oh dear.
Jeff has found a couple of notes, and JessA's necklace that he gave her, meaning that whatever has taken JessA, HABIT or rake or whatever, is now taunting them and leading them. Jeff blames Damsel for this, Evan laughing about this in disbelief, Vince trying to be the peacemaker.
There are clips of Jeff and JessA throughout the sequence, and one clip of Jeff cutting open a black trash bag, spilling the gore inside, with Evan laughing. Similar to the jokes over footage, though it seems to take place in a different setting. I think that this is all clear now. JessA is dead. Jeff found her. He found her in the bags, hung from the trees. She was abducted, possibly experimented on by HABIT, then killed for effect. Killed to get to Jeff.
Evan then talks to Vince through the camera he is holding. He says that they are killing slenderman. Evan doesnt know how, but they have to kill it. Jeff is sitting in the background and the video cuts to Evan sitting cross legged and completely bent over on the floor, in pitch black with a torch shining on him from the camera. Final shots of the group heading towards the large tree at Baldpate Mountain.
Quite a revealing set of videos lately, and I do honestly believe that JessA is dead now. That she was in those bags. I can see it as being a way to get to Jeff, which seems very effective following the events of HALLOWEEN HANGOVER. Where the rake used sparky as a lure to attack Alex, it is using JessA to lure Jeff, possibly even using her body.
VID00006.MP4
an Alex video again. Simple clip of his washing off and dressing a very deep, nasty set of cuts on his arm, evidently from the rake. Bandages on his other arm show that this isn’t the first incident.
From a purely OOG perspective, the cuts look amazingly real, worryingly real in fact...
I'm Okay (Alex)
Alex is explaining the cuts, stating that his parents would put sparky down, blaming the dog. His brother would freak out, and anyone else would simply think; emo. Alex says his parents would put sparky down.
Ustream is a very good way to get answers and I highly recommend you either watch them or read my entry on them. Alex and Jeff’s parents have been deceased for a long time. As it is evident later on, Alex is unable to cope with the loss, and has various ways to defend against it.
The events of the exterminator are revealed here, and it should be noted that an odd picture behind Alex seems to show some wooded area and an image of the tentacled slenderman.
Alex then recalls the events of the previous video, saying that the camera was recording the closet, though this footage is never seen. He also describes the rake.
. . . .
another Morse video, not viewable by the cast, and spliced around with the same style footage of the underwater struggle and the day in the life clips, as well as the use of “who could win a rabbit?”.
HABIT must be posting these to have such a significant presence of this song, and the taunting sing along text at the beginning sounds like him.
Especially where he refers to us as rabbits. The underwater footage seems to show two of the group pulling another one down. There is the footage of a figure walking in the distance at night time, illuminated via torch. Heavy breathing from the camera holder, it is possible that this figure is Evan/HABIT, as the video cuts to Evan sitting in the corner of a white bricked room, staring off into nothing with the light flickering.
Simple footage of driving around, then of Alex’s cuts again and Jeff holding the pendant in Centralia. Then a hooded figure turns quickly to the camera in a pitch black basement. This, again, may be Evan/HABIT.
Clip of the group looking in a hole from day in the life, then cutting to Steph in the corner of a white bricked corridor, staring at the floor, lights flickering.
Then sparky on the stairs as Jeff’s deceased mother says “night” from Alex’s recording, or maybe not. Final significant shot of Jeff in bed, text flashes onto screen “HIS LOSS BLINDS HIM” obviously a jab from HABIT about the loss of JessA on Jeff, or even the loss of the parents on Alex, due to the fact that Jeff is more focussed on JessA than anything else, and seems to ignore most of the other occurrences, and Alex isn’t even fully focussed on the events either, he is more involved with his deceased parents.
These videos seem to be from HABIT, and they show us footage that the group either doesnt want us to see, or doesnt know exists. Certain shots, such as the staring and dark shots, could go either way. Either the crew know about these shots, and are trying to hide them to make things look better, or they simply are not aware that they have these shots.
Alex
the first video that Evan fully leads, apart from injustice which is merely a video of Evan talking, this video has even leading the video, filming throughout, mostly. Again, his sister is mentioned, and Evan received a USB stick with security style footage of Jeff’s house taken from the inside. The cameras recorded some disturbing scenes, and Evan is going to show them. If Jeff’s house has been bugged, then it is likely that Evan and Vince's houses have been bugged as well, this is confirmed for Vince in HALLOWEEN HANGOVER. The clips show the various times that Alex has exited his room holding the cuts on his arm after a rake attack.
Then it cuts to Evan heading towards Jeff’s house.
Alex answers the door, and Evan directly approaches him about the cuts. At first he plays dumb, but Evan persists and Alex takes him upstairs. Evan tries to comfort Alex here, trying to reassure him that the EMH crew understand. But Alex knows this is different, and more violent. Alex names the slenderman here, the only character to do so when referring to the actual slenderman that stalks the group. He then describes the rake to Evan. Evan recognises that this may be the same thing from the cops checked video, and Alex confirms it. Evan then gets worried.
Evan is pissed that Jeff hasn’t noticed this, and directly confronts him about it, waking him up and even mocking his depression over JessA. When Jeff realises what is going in, he is spurred into action.
Evan returns to Alex’s room to find it completely trashed, despite the short amount of time they had spent outside of it, and that they hadn't heard anything. Alex then states that “this is what it does”. Evan calmly takes control of the situation. He hands the camera to Jeff and takes out his knife, holding it ready to stab down on something. Vince's phone rings from inside the closet, and Evan retrieves it. Though it is mention in ustream that Vince had lost his phone 3 days before they found it, he stated that they are always around each others houses, and that its easy to lose things. It is possible that Vince is holding information back though. Evan cautiously checks out the closet, faking an attack and laughing. He then closes the closet, and not a few seconds later, the rake appears inside it, banging and roaring from within, to which the group panic, leave the room and barricade it. Again, I do believe that the rake can sense that Evan is either a severe threat or HABIT, by the way that it leaves the area when he is around, not wanting to directly confront him, only appearing when he is out of reach. It is also possible that it has been ordered to leave the group alone, and that the goal of the rake is to kill Alex and remove another loved one from Jeff’s life, maybe returning him to a state of isolation, or that Alex was never supposed to be part of this.
Finally, Alex tries to phone Vince, to which Evan mocks him. He phones Vince, but Jeff has the phone that they just found. He shows the phone to Alex as he calling it. Alex simply says “your phone's ringing”, either jokingly or possibly as part of his rapidly deteriorating psyche.
A Day With Green Feathers
this video has annoyed me a bit, not the content or anything, but the fact that it was an open invitation to spend a day with the crew, and I missed it because im stuck over here in England. ThreGreenFeathers has been a vital fan so far, collecting the first box and contacting the crew. This day cemented his relationship with the crew, and secured his place as the number one fan, as disputed as that may be, even gaining a strong friendship from the cast who seem to thoroughly enjoy their interaction. Nice to see really.
Another nice video to start with, similar to a day in the life, only with a nasty twist.
The group sent out an open invitation to the meeting, expecting many people, but only got JessE and TheGreenFeathers, with Ryan failing to turn up. If you are trying to think who Ryan is, he was shown in a day in the life, and that is his only appearance at this point.
I have added the video taken by TheGreenFeathers after this video, as a late entry to the viewing order.
It is further expanded on that Ryan should have turned up. Its also brought up that Evan is a teacher, having been revealed in the self defence video, he teaches self defence btw, though im not sure this is really of significance.
Evan shows off his necklace, a ring around a shotgun shell hanging from his neck. The ring may be significant later, so im just mentioning it here.
After watching an odd video on Vince's phone, Evan just stands up, goes over to stand on the dividing wall and stare into the water.
The group then sings along to “oh no you didn’t”, and Evan shows another sign that he likes JessE. She is his ex, but it seems he still has feelings for her, just watch this video.
Then things cut to serious.
Vince's phone goes off, its Ryan. Vince tries to get Ryan to calm down, to slow down. There is silence, Vince is hung up on. After a moment Vince reveals “I think Ryan jut got in a car accident”.
Then “I heard those noises”. Those noises being the rake. Ryan was a victim of the rake...
A Day With EverymanHYBRID comes next, though there are no important plot details needing to be listed, so I will continue onto the next video
Ryan & the SEVENTRIALSOFHABIT
the video takes place following the end of the previous video with a very short delay. The group come across a dead deer while on their way to Ryan's site. Vince remarks that its cut up the belly, with Evan saying its cut the wrong way. This is obviously supposed to be the work of the rake.
The video cuts to a darkened room. Evan is sitting at a table, talking to something, knife in hand, though we don't see this yet, we only hear Evan talking.
Full transcript of Evan's speech will be at the end of the video summary here.
Vince informs us of what has happened. Jeff then states that he had to identify the body, and that it was seriously cut and scratched. The car seemed to have hit something, but the glass was on the inside. Evan figures that something [the rake] pulled him out of the car.
The video then cuts to the darkened rooms, lit only by candles and Evan still talking.
Vince begins to pull up the last contact they had with Ryan before the phone call, an email. The video cuts again to Evan talking, getting more violent.
The email is introducing the SEVENTRIALSOFHABIT, and HABIT himself is introduce via Evan methinks. The link between Evan and HABIT is first shown to the viewer, though it will not be clear yet for first timers. Ryan failed the trial that requested a pint of his blood, and sought outside help, something HABIT heavily discourages. The rake is then sent after him.
I believe that Ryan had to die. Since h had been playing along for a while and not mentioned it, the tournament was not going to happen. So HABIT would have him killed, to bring attention and significance to the SEVENTRIALSOFHABIT and ensure that people would apply. It worked.
The video then cuts to Evan talking again, Jeff interrupts as Evan threatens whoever he is talking to. He then turns slowly, talking eerily creepy, holding the knife and advancing on Jeff. Jeff turns to run, but runs into slendy. End of segment. Needless to say, the cast cannot see this.
Transcript of Evan's speech:
“[laughing]You, you really, you really think that you're the boss? You really think that you can just.. tell all of us what to do, and we'll do it. They might, maybe. But me, not so much, chuckles. I know, oh, I know you're powerful. I know you're a big strong man, but you gotta remember who brought you these little fish. You gotta remember that whatever I want, I get. Whatever I want! If I want their fucking blood, then I will take it! There ain't a GOD damn thing you can do about it. You may scare Evan, but he's just a bitch. Not me. [He picks up a cleaver, points it at the non-person.] I will fuck you up the next chance I get. Now.. let's talk about these little fishes”
quite a major plot point here, vital in fact to the Evan/HABIT theory. HABIT is clearly possessing Evan at this point, and he is clearly addressing slenderman, though he is not seen. Slenderman seems to be trying to control the group, but HABITS possession of Evan has screwed things up. And now HABIT has brought the group to slenderman, under the condition that HABIT can have anything he wants in regards to the crew. He also states that slenderman cannot stop this process. The things change, for the first time in the speech we find out that Evan is not talk, something else it, and it refers to Evan as a scared bitch, “not me”. It is also here that we can see the origin of the knife lust and aggression towards slenderman. Maybe the reason Evan ran to fight slenderman in ashen waste was because HABIT was forcing him to. Slenderman may be trying to take the group earlier than planned, and he may be interrupting whatever plans HABIT has. But all this is only one way of looking at things.
It could be that Evan has a different side to him, a split personality and that HABIT is the one he is talking to, the flaw in this theory being that HABIT has not been seen yet at all, in any form other than possibly Evan's.
Btw, I copy and pasted the different parts to the transcript above from the main transcript, only to see one waiting below. And any eagle eyed viewers that noticed the shape behind the crew and the 5 minute mark, that was Evan.
The Update HUB
this video is more of a directory for the EMH series, allowing people to post their responses to this video, as well as the team being able to upload addresses.
The purple wristbands are shown, but still not sent out. The group is a little annoyed that people are moaning about not understanding it, when the cast themselves aren’t fully sure about it. Though the description of the video is useful, I recommend the wiki higher than this source, mainly for the wiki's thoroughness.
Major Plot Note, Evan got himself a computer, despite his apparent lack of ability to work one. Plus HABIT got a twitter at the same time. Coincidence, no way. This just further proves the link between HABIT and Evan.
THESEVENTRIALSOFHABIT - TRIAL ONE - PART 2/2 - RABBIT#231
A video from Alex, completing the 2nd part of the first trial, against the wishes of his brother. This trial is about burying a treasured item. For full trial details, see the SEVENTRIALSOFHABIT blog update on this site. Sparky is helping him dig, which I would count as outside help heheh, though that may be the reasoning behind future occurrences. Alex buries the shell of the first gun he every fired, from when his dad took the brothers skeet shooting a few years back.
“HABIT made me do it” a phrase that I think will only gain in notoriety and significance as the series progresses.
Damsel
OK, I know that this is a massive headfuck, but bare with my, I think I can explain. So after the disappearance and possible death of JessA, Jeff flipped out about Damsel (Steph) being all stalkerish and freaky, so reported her to the police for nothing more than being a suspect. The police take her in, then section her in the hospital. Obviously, the group now feels supremely guilty and manages to break her out. Btw, the audio file “hospitalfire” follows this and has some glaring issues that I will explain after the video comments are done below. Btw, Jeff worked at this hospital.
Jeff runs into position while Evan holds the camera and Vince goes to retrieve the distressed damsel (see what I did there?). Vince comes round the corner trailing damsel, who seems to be protesting. A security guard starts heading towards them, and Jeff kinda redeems himself with an awesome tackle, much to Evan's approval. Slenderman is seen in the window at 0:46, but only barely, hard one to spot this one.
Audio distortion as they run to the car, though it only suggests the presence of slenderman, and does not show him. This could be due to the reunion of the mining town four.
Finally, we get a good twist of irony, whereby the group have broken damsel out of the hospital, only to have it revealed that she was to be released the same day anyway.
But she would not have lived.
The audio file that follows the video shows that slenderman's effect on time is evident in the videos. You can find a full transcript and download link for the file http://everymanhybrid.wikia.com/wiki/HospitalFire.wav there.
Jeff went back to work at the hospital the next day, the same place they had just broken a patient out of, and it was like nothing happened. It is possible that slenderman as wiped this even from the memory of the staff. Basically, an accident had occurred, whereby two of Jeff’s co-workers had been killed in a freak fire accident, while changing the gas tanks in a pressurised room that was now empty. Heres where it gets weird. The room was damsel's and she was rescued from it at 6:00pm as stated on the last video. But the fire occurred at 5:55pm, five minutes before the group arrived. Damsel was even logged as having been discharged earlier in the week, meaning that the group had either travelled through time an/or space to rescue her, possibly due to slenderman's effect. Or she was kept behind by slendy in the week, kept secretly until the group could rescue here, slenderman even delaying time to allow her escape. The reasons are unclear as to why he would do this, or even if this is true, but slendy is the only entity in the series that possess that ability.
The security guard is also said to be the one who followed the group during the break out, so he should have died 5 minutes before hand. Anyway, the whole thing is a massive headfuck and hard to work out, so, There's my stance on it all, and I guess we will just have to wait and see what else happens. As always.
December & Early January
video starts off nicely enough, Steph fitting in well with the group. Btw, damsel will hereby be referred to as her proper name “Steph”. The mining town four are all together, and Steph is staying in Evan's basement (revealed via ustream).
Vince and Evan have a hold of Steph's phone, and they plan of changing the voice mail. Mistake.
The following message is saved on the voice mail, transcript sourced from EMH wiki:
Voice-mail Recording of Jessa's Voice: [Static] Steph, Steph, that thing you were talking about [Static] I saw it, Steph I saw wh... he's real he's right here. You're right you're so right what the hell does he want? I think he's following me [screaming in the background] Steph, please please pick up [high pitched maniacal laughter] Oh God Oh G... [Jessa's voice distorts as the laughter continues. Then several bursts of static.
That is correct, Steph has a message of JessA's final moments. As if this isn’t harrowing enough, Jeff then walks in, seeming to have heard the message.
Either HABIT or the rake got to JessA very early on, or JessA has been running and this message is recent. It is now almost fact that JessA is dead, and that she was in those bags. This sadly re-ignites Jeff’s depression.
The video then cuts to Evan asking Steph about the slenderman and the events surrounding the group. To Evan's dismay, Steph states that there simply may not be a way to stop the slenderman, and that the group has tried harder than she has, and there seems to be no way.
The video then cuts to the group heading towards the grave of mitten, Vince's cat, deceased of 6 years. The grave is bloody, even in the snow. Something has been killed here. They then trek back to the house. As they reach the house, slenderman is standing on the decking, watching them. The group then discusses having Steph stay with them. The video ends here.
77of76
another video from the memory stick. The crew are walking along the Baldpate Mountain trail towards the large tree. Sirens are heard distantly, signifying the presence of slenderman, Jeff notices them. The basis for the iteration theory is almost proven here. Evan referring to the cycle, with things never changing, you just end up back in the same place. This could be down to the eternal struggle between the crew and slenderman which has spread across various iterations, or could be that they were trapped in Baldpate Mountain at this time.
Some speculate that the video is from the future, sent back to the group, the basis of this theory being that the seasons are different, the names of the video seem to be counting down and the clothing and circumstances match that of the taking it back video, which was film in January 11.
morsecodevideos
a copy of the compilation of videos sent to the EMH crew to help them see the Morse videos. Nothing really worth noting here, just check back to the Morse videos for more details.
The Hidden Videos
the group have been sent a DVD of the Morse videos to view, sent by coffeecollie to the group, and they plan to watch them to be able to make sense of it all. It should be noted that all members of the mining town four are present for this video. Evan questions why they are even watching the videos, almost as if his is trying to dissuade the group from watching them in the first place.
The video starts off with the intro from coffeecollie. Then the videos start.
3 seconds of video plays then the screen goes black. The group remain as they are, but they hold an odd conversation. The seem conversation mentioned in the Corenthal letter where the children were transported to Pennsylvania by slenderman. Transcript below is sourced from the EMH wiki:
Evan: I mean... It's not like we did anything wrong. We were just playing a game!
Vince: We used to do it all the time in the home doctor, I mean every weekend we played these games!
Steph: We just wanted to find the hidden treasure.
[A shadow behind the camera passes from right to left.]
Jeff: I'm sorry that you and Miss Maryann had to drive this far but we were trying to get back on... on our own. He got us there in an instant, I don't know why it took us so long to get home.
Evan: It-it's not like we unlocked the door, or broke the door or anything, he just... we didn't even use 'em.
Jeff: [Over Evan] We saw how to get there.
Vince: We were just playing pretend I...I don't know what happened.
After this, the screen goes black and the crew wake up, bleeding slightly and hungry, suggesting they have been taken somewhere, and they have been there for a long while.
After Steph speaks, a shadow passed from behind the camera. This definitively links the mining town four with the EMH crew, plus Steph.
After 8 minutes, Evan coughs himself awake. The group are all unconscious, though slowly waking.
Last Week/Taking It back
video starts off with Jeff and Evan ready to launch their assault on Alex’s room, and possibly the rake. Evan is wearing a paintball mask for protection, and as you can guess, Evan has his knife as well. They enter the room quickly but cautiously, checking it over. The room does still bare the odour of the rake, but the rake doesnt seem to be there. This could be because it can sense Evan, sense that he may either be a possible ally or a severe threat, and has fled.
Evan decides to pursue the rake through the crawl space, Alex and Jeff follow.
Evan is the first to reach the end. They have appeared in a basement. An odd basement. The same basement that they broke the door down and entered previously, only that time, it ended in them being taken to a beach. All of the stuff the guys had on them is now gone. Evan goes back, trying to retrieve his lost items, but the hole in which they entered the room has since sealed itself, if it was even there. It is clear that the rake is nowhere to be seen, and that the rake fled through the crawl space and ended up somewhere different that the guys did. It should be noted that this basement was once used by Corenthal while he was hiding from the police. Evan phones Vince for pick up. The only items taken from the group were the ones they would use for either offence or defence. The clothing and circumstances of this video, much like the 77of76 video has led some viewers to believe that this video was recorded in the future and sent back somehow. HALLOWEEN HANGOVER could suggest that the rake is still inhabiting Alex’s room.
2 days after these events, Evan returns to Jeff’s house, and the pair of them check out the room once more while Alex is at school.
Evan once again has his knife, which he found sheaved on his bed.
With the teleportation aspect of the videos, it is possible that HABIT has this ability, and is acting through Evan to teleport the group. Evan has always been present during these events, even in the past occurrences with the mining town four. Both times the group has teleported in the modern series, Evan has been leading them as well.
Jeff then finds a part of the Centralia note in the trashed room. The smell has gone, as have all signs of the rake. It is then revealed that the crawl space was made by the rake, and disappeared when he left the room, taking all traces of it, and leaving only a blank patch of wall.

this video is an unboxing, and thus information of it can be found on the boxes section of this blog.
Rose
so this video is a simple one of Vince telling us about the murder of Rose, JessE's grandmother, at the hands of the rake. A newspaper clip is linked, and Evan gets very pissed that Vince is telling us about it, Evan being very close to JessE. Rose is also mentioned in the original rake creepypasta.
The Corenthal Connection (Jessie’s Back)
quite a complex video this one, basically the group are trying to be supportive for JessE (who im just gonna call Jessie from now on), after the loss of her grandmother at the hands of the rake.
Jessie has found a folder with her grandmother's things, the folder containing a lot of information about Corenthal. The folder contains notes and pictures, as well as a noted map bearing a few highlighted locations that have not made an appearance yet. Jessie has read through the folder and states that the only strange thing she found was a note about a storage facility and a key to said storage. The group wastes no time, and they head out for it.
The group arrive at the facility at night time. The group arrive at 401, Corenthal's locker. The locker is opened, showing a few boxes of papers. Jeff gets out of the car with Jessie to investigate further. The group finds tapes, pictures and papers, as well as a rocking horse and the infamous, black box device.
It is fairly obvious already, if you can recognise the box as something similar to a Geiger counter, that it is for detecting something, most likely slenderman.
The box seems to buzz a little, maybe detecting something. Evan notices the rocking horse. Shortly after, the door slams down shut.
Unable to lift it, the group are trapped. Vince ignites his lighter after Jessie goes for help. He peers around in the darkness for a second, then sees him. Slenderman is standing in the corner of the unit, and the crew are trapped in there with him. Vince begins to cough up a black viscous fluid, with has been confirmed as not being blood.
What is creepy is that as Vince goes down and the camera flickers, there is something else there. Look to the left side of the flickering screen, there appears to be a face, with small eyes, hair and blood around an odd mouth. This throws a few ideas into the mix as well. It is possible that this is the rake, but it isn’t likely since no smell was noticed and no one was attacked. It is also possible that this is the first and so far, only physical appearance of HABIT, either on his own for through possessing Evan. And once again, Evan is present at the events. It is possible that Evan is the trigger for these events. It is also possible that this face is that of JessA, either through the slenderman's effect or another means. The face is messed up, but this could be due to JessA's possible torture at the hands of HABIT.
After these events, the storage locker opens. It is broad daylight. This is the first instance we have seen Corenthal. He enters the unit, not able to see the group there. Corenthal simply enters, drags the rocking horse into the unit. He stands there, looking down at it. He then says “I am so sorry guys” then either “I feel for all of you” or “I failed all of you”. There is some dispute as to what exactly he says, but either way, it is a clear indication that the mining town four were either taken by slendy in the end, or worse. There are also those that say Corenthal locked the children in the unit, though there isn’t much evident to support this. Corenthal then exits, closes the unit and Evan sums up the entire video in one phrase “what the fuck was that?”.
Interview with the HYBRIDs
a very important video about the fans interactions with the crew. Vince and Jeff are doing an interview for a fan, who is recording it. Both Jeff and Vince look pissed or tied, either way they are not happy about something. The group admit that the videos started off as a way to help people become fit with real tips, but they did want to get the ad revenue and live off of it.
Then Harold, the interviewer, fucks up in a really big way. He starts going on about the fake slenderman, naming instances of it, though we still have no confirmation of where the real and fake slendermen actually are.
The crew clearly do not want to talk about the subject. They just say it would have been a good Easter egg. Jeff makes an excuse to leave as Harold goes on to talk about how well the series is going and how many views they got.
Its almost painful to watch, Harold goes on to the 6th video, asking about how they did the effects. Vince is clearly beyond annoyed now. As the group has said many times, what is happening is real.
Even after explaining this, Vince is still pursued on the topic. Harold even saying how preposterous the whole thing is. Harold is making out that he did not know that this was real.
Vince then admits that they may have indirectly and accidentally called it, or summoned it by simply making the videos and the fake slendy.
Harold goes on about the reality of what is happened, asking about Ryan and Jessie, who Vince simply says “shes gone”. Jeff then wanders back and the duo make a swift exit. It gets even worse as the group are leaving, Harold then runs off after them, still imbued with questions.
The problem here is a simple and common one. Harold was looking to talk to the cast, to talk to Jeffrey Koval and the others, but instead, because he filmed it, he was talking to Vince and Jeff. There was no series here, just the documentary. The cast behind the series will never appear on camera as themselves for an interview while the series is still running, it would seriously damage the canonosity of the series itself. This is something that can happen when interacting with the cast, whether its on ustream or PM, if you contact Vince, Evan or Jeff with a question, then Vince Evan and Jeff will answer. If you make it clear that your question is out of game (OOG), then you will get a response from the cast. Using the different addresses is also important.
And again, don't bother asking about plot details because the group are not likely to just give them away. Plus, where the fun in that?
Slappa' tha' bass(ah)
another Alex video, starting off with a clip from his band's gig, the free drink refills. The group firstly cover Hotel California, which was played during ashen waste. The video skips in the same place in the bands performance, as the song skips in the car in ashen waste.
Then we see Alex, filming himself in a mirror as per usual. Alex states that he has had some issues lately, but He's back, and he will be uploading more videos. He also shows us sparky's new bed.
The video then cuts back to the gig.
Canon?
For more information on this video, and the other leaked videos, see the leaked video entry of this blog. This video is a clear prod at the viewers constant discussion about the canonosity of certain videos.
One Step Forward, Two Steps Back
another important video here. Basically, Vince has found a library in Hamilton which may hold answers. He spoke to someone as well. Someone called Lexi. Anyone remember that name? No? Then you must be a first time viewer of the series. This is something I have only noticed after watching HALLOWEEN HANGOVER. Lexi, who goes missing or is killed in HALLOWEEN HANGOVER is the librarian that Vince likes, he even gets her number.
Alex then comes in as Vince is explaining about the library. Another thing to notice is the rabbit soft toy holding the EMH logo in the background, and the hot fuzz shirt Vince wears. Nothing too important about the shirt, its just that the group seems to be fans of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, having recreated some Shawn of the dead scenes on twitter.
Alex then says he will ask his mother. Jeff tries to stop him, and Vince says that its not natural what Alex is doing, not right. For those of you who have been watching or reading about the ustream, you will already know that Alex and Jeff’s parents have been dead for a long while now, and that it is a very touchy subject. This is the first instance where we see how deranged Alex is about the loss. Alex brings a stereo in with recordings from his mother. The disjointed audio from the tape says that its too late. Alex obeys the command, and says its too late. Its 10am.
The group are worried about him, though Evan and Vince are worried at the lack of action taken by Jeff.
The group have found a few things from Lexi, and a notebook with Jeff says we will transcribe. They also seek to contact officer Matten, the officer who was affiliated with Corenthal, and who guarded the mining town four after they were transported to Pennsylvania by slenderman.
Jeff then tries to contact Officer Matten, though it is revealed that he committed suicide a year ago.
The video cuts to Evan and Jeff playing scrabble. Evan places “wifin” on the board, which is questioned. This is an obvious reference to Marble Hornets. It should be noted that it is vital that one does not wifin, especially in the club, or else a fine of 20 dollars will need to be paid.
Jeff the shows his transcribed notes from the library, though he cannot access the mediafire account, as it has been hacked. For details of the library notes, see the Corenthal letter section of this blog. The group are not sure what to make of Corenthal at this point.
Evan then fiddles around with the black box device, stating that it is “rick tick tickety”, referencing the quote on the outside of Box 1, though not on purpose I’d imagine.
The camera pans to Alex, and the whole thing gets serious. Alex says “its back”, Evan asks what he means as Alex rushes off-screen Alex grabs a steel bat and heads outside. The it he is referring to is the rake. Evan gives the camera to Jeff, and follows Alex to the shed. Alex tries to enter the shed, but Evan runs up and pulls him back out of the doorway, protecting him, but Alex rushes inside again, only to be pulled out by Evan once more, this time completely. Evan then closes the door to stop Alex going back in. Jeff runs over to the shed, and Evan has taken control of the situation, telling Alex to wait while he checks it out. Evan says he cant see anything but he thinks he can see sparky. Evan tries to comfort her and call to her, but then the rake grabs him. The rake screams out in a higher pitch and more panicked, mostly due to Evan's attack on it. Evan recoils out of its grasp, back onto the lawn, clutching at his shredded arm. The rake screams louder, and it is unclear whether Evan is contributing to the noise. Both Alex and Jeff struggle to keep the door closed, horrible noises coming from the shed. Some have speculated that it sounds like a woman screaming or a small animal being tortured. I think that the latter is true, the rake did in fact kill sparky here.
The video then cuts to Evan cleaning himself off in the bathroom.
Evan says that the rake was holding sparky. She wasn't making noises, but she was moving. The rake was using sparky as a lure, and it almost worked. Alex almost entered the shed. The rake is clearly targeting Alex over anyone else, trying to eliminate him, possibly for what happened in the trials. The frantic noises from the rake were caused by Evan attacking him, possibly due to the fact that the rake was not expecting Evan, and that the rake knows Evan is a severe threat to it.
The video ends with Alex sitting outside the bathroom door, holding sparky's collar.
Trial 6 Series
this entry will compile together the videos surrounding rabbit #052 and the fiasco around trial 6 and the box. #052 displays his courage by attempting to blackmail HABIT. 52 has received a box in the mail from HABIT, and has stated that without being passed through to trial 7, he will not open the box. The issue comes around the law of his area, and that he cannot complete trial 6 due to the need for a permit that he would not be able to get within the time constraints of the trial.
After his initial video threatening HABIT, there are two videos labelled sequence 1 and sequence 2.
sequence 1 shows 52 trying to get his friend to get ready so a slenderman shoot from the look of things, bringing a suit out as well. He friend answers the door, and is abducted by something. It is not clear what. 52 then goes to check it, there is a sign. “HABIT MADE ME DO IT”. The next shot is of 52 on the floor in front of this sign. This shot lasts for a minute.
Sequence two shows someone (presumably 52's mate) tied ankle and wrist on a sofa, shot from another room. At the end of this clip, the camera is picked up and moves towards the captive.
Then we have the first confession video, when 52 admits he never actually had the box. In the second confession, 52 states that everything was real apart from the box. He puts his fate in the trials up to a vote from the other rabbits, which he loses 6-1.
Congratulations Magus!
This is the prize video for Magus, who won the EMH promotion competition. The group makes a reference to the “other” series, jay. The video cuts during Evan talking, cutting to slenderman walking past a pillar and then Jeff walking through his garden at night, torch lighting the ground. He is talking to Vince, who sharply tells him to stop talking about JessA as if she is dead, they will find her. Jeff laughs it off, not believing a word. His severe depression is setting in. the camera pans to a silhouette, Jeff thinks it is JessA, it very well may be, but it is not. He runs towards the silhouette which was projected against the shed door, the same shed where Evan was attacked. Vince stops Jeff as he tries to run in there after her. The rake is clearly trying to lure him inside.
TribeTwelve: The Envelope
some of you may be following TribeTwelve, as I am and was before EMH, so some of you may already know the back story. For those that don't, I do recommend you watch it, and I will be covering TT when I have finished covering EMH. The basic back story is that the main protagonist, Noah, has had a friend, Milo, who died. Milo was very troubled, paranoid and a victim of slenderman. Noah tries to investigate Milo's history, and becomes the new target of both the slenderman and his proxy, the observer. In this entry, Noah receives and envelope with the EMH purple tape across the back, as well as a quote on the outside reading “ashes ashes, we all fall down”. This quote seems to be alluding to the mining town four and their back story, suggesting that Noah or Milo were a part of that. It is possible at this point for the envelope to have come from either the observer or HABIT.
Inside the envelope is a picture of Milo with Corenthal, a burned Corenthal note, a screen grab of a TT video with a quote along the top (we are all just creatures of-[HABIT]). On the back of this note there is another quote “NOT AND OBSERVER, just an old connection, yours”. This is now very clear that HABIT has sent the envelope, and that HABIT and Noah have interacted before. HABIT is also aware of the observer. The picture with Milo and Corenthal, also has Mary in it, linking the married Corenthal couple with Milo, who may have been another one of their adopted children. If this is the case then it is now possible that slenderman is targeting any children that were under the care of Corenthal, and Corenthal may be working with him indirectly. The final piece, is a piece of the Centralia letter, again linking Noah with the EMH crew.
May & June
the video starts off with Jeff talking to the audience over a blank screen. The video then cuts to the EMH crew covered in blood, with the audio still playing. The video then cuts to a shot taken from the ground facing the grass in the dark of night, looks to be night vision. A lump or mass can be seen. The rake crawls into view, showing us his distorted face. The rake crawls over the body, looks around a bit and seems to say something though there is no sound. He then drags the body away.
The video cuts to June Evan is handed the camera and films Vince and Jeff, talking about the previous clip. The clip was emailed tot he group from HABIT, and they know that it is the “monster” from Alex’s closet. It is unclear at this time what exactly the rake is dragging away. It is then mentioned that Vince is seeing the girls from the library, Lexi
The video cuts again, and the group is having a movie night, with dawn of the dead. Daniel is present here, for those of you who do not remember, Daniel was the fake slenderman seen in entry 6.
Alex then sits down, silencing the others with the presence of a sock puppet. Vince asks what it is and Alex states that it is sparky, speaking as if it is completely normal. Obviously, Alex cannot cope with the loss with his dog, and has since replaced her with the puppet as a way to ignore the loss. His psychoses is becoming more distinct. Lately. Jeff gets up slowly and takes Alex out of the room.
The video cuts to Vince asking what happened, directed at Evan and his knew found love, Steph.
Evan is pissed that Jeff has made no significant effort to help his brother, and they agree that Alex is likely to do something drastic soon if nothing is done.
Steph says a perfect line for the series “I though we were supposed to be normal”, which pretty much sums up the cast's thoughts about the series.
The video then cuts to Jeff telling us that they cannot figure out the black box device.
Then it cuts again to Evan and Jeff, Evan is still hurt from his run in with the rake.
Jeff then presents Evan with a picture. A picture from the storage unit. A picture of a young Evan with Corenthal. Evan instantly recognises it. Evan is not happy about this, it gets worse when he reads the label on the back “James [Corenthal] and Evan”.
The video then cuts to the group sitting around a garden table at night time. Alex and Daniel are there too. Evan still seems pissed off about the photo and is very snappy and aggressive throughout the video from this point on. This may be due to the presence of slenderman or HABIT.
I do believe that HABIT is possessing him in this video, that Evan's aggressive side is definitely out in this video. Evan does joke a little bit, though not a lot.
Vince then says he heard something, something only Jeff and Evan heard as well. Alex and Daniel hear nothing, and neither do we. This is where it gets interesting. Jeff says there is something out in the woods. The group head to Vince's car, where Evan retrieves a machete from under the rear bumper.
Jeff and Vince find weapons in the tool shed and follow Evan who has already wandered off ahead. This is why I think Evan is the initiator of all these events, he is always at the front of the pack, always running in before anyone else gets there.
Alex follows the group as they run through the woods. The camera pans upwards and sees a very tall slenderman against a tree as he runs past.
The video and audio distort until Alex finds the group. They are all standing staring at something. They seem to be affected by something, though Alex is not. Evan walks forward “ooooh how the mighty have fucking fallen dude” then swings his machete into a blurry object ahead of them. The video cuts to moments later when the group is back on the deck. They are all covered in blood, Vince peering inside the window, Evan, the most covered, looking thoroughly menacing throughout this clip and Jeff, distraught. Jeff asks “why did you do that?”, and one phrase reaches my head. HABIT MADE ME DO IT. When Jeff says that Vince knew that it wasn't what they were trying to kill, he simply responds “close enough”. Evan begins to lick the blood from his fingers, looking more and more disturbing. Jeff had tried to pull Evan away from the deer, and was almost attacked by him because of it. Evan simply says coldly and malevolently “you Shouldn’t have tried to pull me off”. Evan walks off, he has to burn a deer, Vince was not fully aware of what he was doing and Jeff is scared.
The video ends. My theory on this is HABIT. Evan/HABIT, is obviously the initiator here, sparking the event. He is the first to attack, and he even makes Vince want to join in. it is revealed in the CANYOUSEETHEWORDS blog that HABIT can make people kill, and I think that is what he did here. I do not think they were aware of their actions while they carried them out, though I reckon Evan was. HABIT made them think there was something in the woods, and in their fear and vengeful anger, they killed the deer. HABIT made them do it.
-.-.
the latest of the Morse videos, and the final in the SOAHC series, spelling CHAOS backwards. This is a very odd and revealing one.
The video starts with two people playing guitar on the floor. They repeat the same notes. Did you guess it? Yeah this is the intro to “who could win a rabbit”.
We then clip to what appears to be Jeff, Evan and Vince in the candleverse. They are outside somewhere, surrounding a collection of lit candles and filmed from above. The group has obviously noticed the violent tendencies of Evan and as such he is hand-cuffed. The crew are speaking of things we do not yet understand, Vince having the keys to Evan's cuffs, he states that they must “protect the package. Everyman.”. The crew seem to be expecting an attack.
The video cuts to Vince's basement, with Jeff and Vince walking down the stairs to Evan who is holding the camera. Jeff thinks that the rake was at the school, and followed them home. It may now in in Jeff’s house again.
The video cuts to the group sitting around the candles, they are looking around the wrecked shack they are in. Evan states that it is “home sweet home”, with Vince saying that only one thing is missing. It is possible that they are either at an old Corenthal house, or the Fairmount children's home.
The video then cuts again to the rake scrambling across the street.
Another cut to the group playing xbox, and Evan telling Daniel that Alex’s dog was hit by a car, a very angry car, covering up the truth.
Then we cut back to the candleverse. The group admit that Steph is the only missing person, and that none of them have seen her for a while. Vince says ---never seems to want us together, with the subject missing as to who that might be, though it would be likely to be slendy.
Jeff even says “19 years go by, you forget—i even thought it was all real” which Is a strong piece of evidence in the iteration theory, with the iterations being fake to the avatar versions of the crew.
Cut back to the basement, Jeff asking about Evan's arm and Vince stating that maybe slenderman has a stake in the group, and slendy does not want the rake attacking the group, and the rake knows this.
A short clip of Steph cleaning her glasses to no audio, and we are back to the candleverse.
Jeff states that when things seem calm and the group relax into, possibly an iteration, then it all starts again. Vince then states that he has had a warning, something big is going to happen soon. As Vince speaks, Evan peers into the camera, though it is not shown or mentioned who would be filming this.
Evan then says “you've got one of those things near you” referring to the camera, who Vince gestures away. This could mean a person, or something else, it is unclear to what Evan is referring. Jeff states he could never get used to something, then says thousand mile stairs, which has no meaning at the moment other than to simply stare off without any reason. Vince then says that people can watch, maybe even meaning HABIT who may be the one holding the camera. Whatever is behind the camera emits a very odd series of sounds to which Vince responds.
Evan then reveals he has knowledge of HABIT's trials, and the group reveal that they have enountered him many times. This then could mean that this video has been sent from the past, and is old, or HABIT is going to have a knew contest soon. It is also possible that HABIT is trying to recuit people to kill of the EMH team for him, he may lack a corporeal form. Btw, Evan refers to it as “the HABIT”.
Cut back to the basement. The group are discussing why the rake is targeting Alex, and they think it may be because he has had no contact with slendy.
Cut back to candleverse. Evan either says “they got the doctor” or “i got adopted”, it is not clear. Cut to a balding man in a field. The man prompts the camera man to film “mommy”. This could be a number of people, anyone of the mining town four or even Milo from TT, but it is believed to be Jeff. The video is taken at Baldpate mountain.
Cut back to the basement, Evan feels trapped by something, most like the slenderman, then back to candleverse.
Evan refers to Corenthal, saying he put up a fight, Vince, almost angrily says; “you of all people should know” hinting that Evan was behind Corenthal's death. Corenthal was able to go on 30 years pissing “those things” off, it is stated, and it was all for the EMH crew. Evan says “if he didn’t piss off those fucking things...” suggesting that either they killed him, and Evan thinks Corenthal Shouldn’t have messed with them, or its just a throw-away to how effective Corenthal was.
Back to the basement, and the crew are worried about the next rake attack, saying it could get more serious, especially since the rake is targeting Alex.
Then back to the candleverse, and the big reveal, the big confirmation. Evan says Corenthal went down with a bag, and Jeff says “I expected nothing less of him. I guess when we're done with this iteration we'll have a nice little war buddy talk with him.” fully confirming the iteration theory in my mind. Evan then gets up, he wants the keys, want the cuffs off. Vince and Jeff do not want to unlock them, they try to make excuses to delay him.
Cut to Jeff’s mom saying they will build a cabin, presumably the one where the current candleverse clip is taking place. Jeff reaches a windmill which stops as he reaches it, then back for the final clip of the candleverse.
Evan slams Jeff up against the wall, demanding the keys. Video end.
Quite a big reveal here really. There are some more underwater clips at the end, possibly showing Vince and Jeff trying to drown Evan. Quite a lot going on in this one...
Box 6
for more information on this video and the contents of box 6, see the box section of this blog.
Sigma
video starts with Evan and Alex in Evan's basement. Evan hands Alex the camera, having taken blood from Alex prior to the video. We then see Evan, bandaged from his upper arm to the wrist, some purple tape holding the bandage on.
The video cuts to a sideways view of Alex playing a game, all in black and white. Jeff walks in, sits down and talks to his brother. Jeff doesnt want Alex hanging with Evan, or helping with videos with out Jeff being present. This is either due to the groups concern over Evan and that they can see how aggressive and violent he is becoming, or it could be due to the run ins with the rake that Evan throws himself into. I reckon this is because of a previous video where Evan violently killed a deer with Vince, and Jeff was almost attacked by Evan just for trying to stop the killing. Jeff obsiouly does not feel safe around Evan lately, and is trying to protect Alex. Alex being Alex instantly disobeys and goes to Evan's house.
Jeff tries to cover up his reasons behind his request though.
The video quickly fades back to Evan's basement.
Alex doesnt want to obey Jeff, but also doesnt want him to know about it.
Evan then goes onto the subject of the sigma radiation. The black box device found in the storage facility detects a unique kind of radiation given off by slenderman, this is called sigma. So the box acts as a slenderman detector. But, the group's blood also tests positive for this radiation, though only when outside of their bodies, meaning that they have a strong link to slenderman.
While Evan is talking, Alex moves Evan's knife. Evan notices and instantly asks him, quite sternly, not to touch the knife. The blade of the knife was facing Alex, and Alex move it so that it wasn't facing anyone. In typical rules of knifeness or whatever, the blade facing your opponent gives you the advantage, while the blade facing you puts you at a disadvantage. Evan, with his strong fixation on knives, obviously needs to have the advantage.
Some viewers have noted the presence of a mask or bust in the back of the video, which could be nothing, though from this distance, it does look like it could be the same face we saw in the storage facility.
Many has speculated as to the effects of sigma radiation, some saying that it induce the slendy-sickness, other saying it induces camera faults and distortion. My view is that the radiation is dangerous. Read the Corenthal papers blog entry, there is one entry that describes the discovery of sigma radiation, and the student working with Corenthal describes the source as “weapons grade radiation”, meaning that whatever this does, it is powerful. For those of you that don't know about radiation, it goes like this.
Alpha—weakest at long range, very powerful at very close range. Can be blocked very easily by most things.
Beta—medium strength, relatively harmful at most ranges, can be blocked by wood and denser materials
Gamma—very strong and harmful, can be harmful at quite long range, and requires lead lining for protection
Delta—this is skipped most of the time as these have different properties and are hard to explain, they have different uses, mainly in particle accelerators.
Sigma— assuming that delta follows the trend, sigma would be incredibly powerful and harmful, unable to be blocked by most materials. The group suffer no ill effects, so it is likely that the radiation follows a different pattern and has different effects.
Noah
following on from the crossover, the group are meeting Noah Maxwell from the train station to discuss how their situations are linked. Noah, for those of you who don't know, is from the TribeTwelve series, which will be covered next. We have seen the set up for this crossover in a previous TribeTwelve entry entitled “the envelope”.
Anyway, the group are on their way, when they come across another little group, the Dark Harvest team, who are having car trouble. The EMH crew get out to help them. Both groups are filming, and when asked by, Alex (EMH) responds “habit”. Evan starts trying to help the group.
Evan tries to make a joke about trying to push the car. As his hands move forward, the car starts up. Maybe an effect of the sigma radiation.
And that's it, the DH crew move out, as do the EMH crew.
Alex, who is holding the camera, gets in the back and swings the camera around. We see slenderman standing behind the EMH car. Maybe he was seperating the group on purpose, making the care work to prevent them getting into any details. The Dark Harvest group have a much more slenderman based series, and have had more run ins and information revealed to them, meaning that if they teamed up with EMH then there would be a very significant threat to the slenderman's plans.
The group are on their way again to meet Noah. Minor distortion kicks in and we see the slenderman, staring at the two meeting teams. The same footage Is in Noah’s footage from the day. Evan notices slendy standing there, though makes no attempt to engage him. Either due to the arrival of Noah, or that Evan knows it would do no good.
Noah gets in and the team heads home.
The group are home, and Noah stops recording to allow EMH to take over. The EMH video was uploaded first, though they were the second to film during the meet up.
Evan says that filming is the only way to keep you sane, I think I agree with that. Noah fills us in on who he is and why he is there. It should be noted that there is a faint high pitch tone throughout the video. The group go over the Corenthal letters with Noah and Noah goes over what he has. This is mainly a big recap, very little new information is leaked, unless you are not watching both series, which I am.
Northern Trip Footage
there is a lot going on in this footage, and the only EMH related stuff is the continuation of the Noah video, so I will skip the entry video and pick it up from where the EMH footage begins. For more informaiton on this video, please wait for the TribeTwelve entry of this blog.
Basically, from where the EMH stuff starts, the EMH crew confirm the link. Jeff say they should begin “jump down the rabbit hole”, maybe a link to HABIT and his rabbit imagery. Evan finds the whole trail of information pretty funny.
Evan confirms that the envelope is from HABIT.
That's pretty much it, like the Noah video, this is mainly a recap and confirmation of previously envisioned theories.
HALLOWEEN HANGOVER
very important video! Seems to follow the same series as the Morse videos, as it is likely that the crew cannot see this.
This video is said to be from HABIT, hence the beginning of the video. It is now also very clear that the crew are definitely hiding facts and information from their viewers.
The video starts off with Alex going to his room, and hearing both sparky and the rake behind the door. He tries to get Jeff, but Jeff is too busy being depressed.
The video cuts again to a group of deer around a tree, possibly one of the deer that Evan has killed.
Another cut to Jeff sitting in his room. There is no audio, but Jeff is holding the pendant he gave JessA, then later found in Centralia. It seems he is getting more and more depressed over this issue.
Video cuts to Vince sitting at the computer in his basement. Ther is minor visual distortion and no sound. The video flickers and we see Vince's dog run across the background. Some have thought this to be sparky.
Vince gets up to see where the dog has gone.
Video cuts back to Alex, where the sounds have gone, then cut to the side of a lake. All the footage of the lake cuts between normal footage, then footage of the lake flooding.
Cut back to Vince in his basement. He rounds a corner, into view. Looks down the hall, then stumbles and runs back. Only when slenderman walks to the left do we see he has been standing there.
The video cuts back to Jeff. He places the pendant on his nightstand, opens the draw and retrieves a bottle of pills. He turns the bottle over in his hands a few times, then opens it, pours the contents in his hands and swallows them. The amount he swallows could be classed as an overdose, and we don't even know what pills they are for. I think it is fair to say that Jeff has either turned to drugs, or has even gone so far as to attempt suicide. Whether this attempt will work or not is to be seen, but I would not be surprised if in the next entry, Jeff is dead or hospitalised, though these scenes do seem to have been filmed around the “Alex” video, so it may have come to nothing.
The video then cuts to Vince and Evan going to Lexi's house. Again, for those of you who don't know, Lexi is the librarian Vince hooked up with in a previous video. She has yet to make an appearance on camera.
Vince remarks on how normal and nice it is to be around Lexi, Evan stating that it only gets better. Evan then hints at the possible relationship he may be having with Steph while she is staying with him. The tone quickly changes as they reach the apartment. The door is open and the lights are out.
Evan bursts into the ransacked apartment, he gets the lights and heads into the kitchen, grabbing a knife from a draw, already knowing where the knives are, possibly suggesting he has been there before. Vince mocks him at getting the knife. They reach a closed door, opposite a bathroom with a bloody sink Evan ready to burst in and attack what’s in there, he tells Vince to go out and phone 911. Vince, filming, leaves and we go with him. Evan stays, about to enter the closed off room.
The video cuts to legs standing on stairs in Vince's basement. Vince enters, backing up the stairs away from the slenderman, only to see him behind him. Vince then tumbles down the stairs, and through a door which he closes. Heavy distortion follows, hinting that slenderman is approaching Vince.
The video flicks again to the lake footage, and then back to Evan and Vince.
Evan is coming down the stairs after what was apparently a scream off camera. Evan just replied “we're fucking leaving” and this segment ends.
Back to Vince's basement, and he has shut himself in the bathroom. He is terrified. Vince coughs up blood in the sink and then promptly faints. One last clip of the flooded lake, and the video ends.
A lot of speculation to be made around here. Obviously there is the fact that Jeff may be suicidal and that he may even be dead at the moment, though if this were the case I would assume that the crew would have made some sort of tribute, especially since these clips happened before the upload date, though it could explain the crew's silence over the past month. WAIT, just remembered the tweeted pictures on Halloween, so I suppose if fair to assume that Jeff is not dead.
Then there is the Lexi thing. Slenderman or HABIT may have targeted her to get to Vince, who so far has been left alone really, and would need some getting to. Once again, Evan is leading the way during this event, and actually orders Vince to leave. Since there was a scream before the second clip, a scream we did not hear, it could be that Lexi is dead. Who killed her is another story. Either slenderman abducted her, as he may have done with JessA, and has plans for them. Or maybe HABIT killed her, or sent the rake to kill her. It is possible that she was part of the SEVENTRIALSOFHABIT and was eliminated in the final round. Another theory is that Evan killed her, and this does seem quite likely. Evan has brutally murdered a deer in the past, and showed no remorse over it, and didn’t display any recognition of what he was killing during the act. That was either due to his homicidal tendencies, or maybe that HABIT made him do it. It is possible that Evan/HABIT killed her as part of the plan, or HABIT made Evan think it was slenderman or the rake and tricked him into killing her. There are a lot of theories, and it is hard to believe that Vince did not go back up and check.
This video is very important and speculation is growing.
Continuing Observations
keeping up to date on the EMH series is easier now that I know where to look. I will keep everyone posted on what exactly is going on, and what these upcoming events might mean. With the completion of my guide, I will post new entries for each new upload from now on.
