EMH: A Vinny / HYBRID Christmas

the latest update, uploaded on christmas day, at least in the uk it was.
the video starts with Vinny saying he is taking a break from the christmas party to clear some stuff up. he uses quotation marks when saying last "3" videos, implying that the two from HABIT are not viewable by the gang.
he then says that the 3rd was uploaded by him, and that he had the surveillance footage from the hard drive they recovered.
Vince then states that they cannot see the other two videos, and then he takes us over to the christmas party.
Evan leaves to find steph, vince thinking she is upstairs, and we see what alex has given Jeff.
Jeff gets an airhorn, though the rest of the gang seem a bit apprehensive about this, it is unclear whether Alex is entirely mentally stable at this point.
the video then cuts to the gang inside Jeff's car on a dark night, looking down a road. Jeff does not look happy.
Jeff is having a crisis over his parents car crash, and says that they should not have been in that car. the video cuts to someone underwater, still and floating. then back to jeff who explains that he cant be Alex's dad.
there looks to be something reflected in the window to the side of jeff, or maybe seen through it. possibly slenderman due to the slight distortion, but probably not.
Jeff then says that maybe he should have died instead of them. the video cuts back to the underwater footage of the floating person, to which 2 others dive in, seeming to help them.
i think at this point that Jeff is possibly suicidal, over his parents, how alex is turning out and JessA, hence the pill taking in HALLOWEEN HANGOVER and the fact that the underwater footage could be jeff trying to drown himself, and the others diving in to help him.
as they are driving off after the conversation, the car beeps and the camera shakes, just as the video cuts back to Jeff armed with the airhorn.
Vince then goes to give Daniel a present, and Evan arives with Steph. Evan has a purple taped present in his hands. he asks to go first, and seems to ignore Vince when he says that Jeff already went. when Vince then says that Evan can go first, evan continues to open his present exitedly.
no prizes for guessing what he gets.
but before he opens it, the video cuts to Evan fiming a door, stating that he is waiting for a pretty important thing for us internet.
he opens the door, asking whether the person within needs help, and the video cuts back to Evan and his present.
he gets the knife out and the video cuts to A HUGE FUCKING TWIST just in time for christmas.
Steph emerges from the door, holding a pregnancy test in her hands. the look on her faces says it all, she is most likely pregnant with Evan's baby. the camera drops in Evan's hands, and we get no official comfirmation of the results.
so the video cuts back to Evan, who gets a huge fucking knife, that looks perfect for killing people, and then goes on to Jeff getting another present. the video cuts again to Alex on the Bass.
he is being filmed by what sounds like Steph, though it is not entirely clear. the camera pans slightly to see the sock puppet sparky hanging on the rack.
the video cuts to a sign off where Vince says they will be "charging up for later" and the video ends.
not a bad entry, nice to see the gang hanging with friends, as well as some decent plot development and key points made.
any other notes i have will be edited in here later.
cheers

EMH: Hidden cameras and emails

the first video we have had in a while that might have come from the guys themselves, though i am writing this on my first viewing, so this may change.
the video starts with Evan filming Vince talking about this wifi thing that connected with the hidden cameras.
the video then cuts to the rocking horse found in the storage facility shown in Vince's basement on the hidden camera footage. the horse is rocking gently.
the video continues to distort, and we see the trio enter the basement, searching for the hidden cameras. there is no sound at this point.
we also see jeff, apparently alive after the hinted suicide of HALLOWEEN HANGOVER, though we have yet to see his face.
then Vince disconnects the camera and the video cuts.
Vince is the talking about logging the cameras, and where he found the first one.
the camera is placed on the table, and we finally see Jeff's healthy but none too happy face, apprently unharmed. he is talking about "those emails" which i can only speculate are from HABIT.
Jeff goes on to explain that these emails were just deleted, not consciously by him, but 3 weeks of messages were gone. this is presumably the work of HABIT, stopping the gang from recieving outside help.
Evan is not happy with the deletion, and Jeff argues that "you dont know what happened with Nick" with the video cutting to Evan breaking Nick's neck at Baldpate Mountain, shown in the previous video.
a slight argument ensues, and Vince defuses the situation, stating that Evan "of all people should know" that everyone has had their off moments. Evan just chuckles and agrees.
Vince then says that these people are their main source at the moment, and that they cannot afford to lose contact with them. it isnt entirely clear whether they are talking about a singular person, or the viewers, or someone else entirely, but this does seem like the group trying to draw people back, trying to re-establish themselve and remake the links they had with the fans. it looks like they want to bring the interactivity back to EMH. though as i explained in my last blog update, this is a dangerous game that they are playing, and some people may not be up to it anymore.
the video then cuts to Vince, having downloaded an app that allows them to search for wifi devices, and then following the directions of the app. following it outside.
they find a hidden camera in a removable panel outside.
perhaps an attempt to bring back the funny to the series, Vince brings out what he has found, and when he proclaims that he found something, the "found something" music from The Legend Of Zelda plays, being Jeff's ringtone....yep.
we then see that this footage is the fragmented piece of footage first shown at the beginning of the video. the device is a wifi enabled hard drive, that would theoretically record and store all data from the hidden cameras. i'm guessing maybe they might be seeing what Evan did to Nick?
the video then ends.
this seems to be a "we are not dead" update, and there is no accompanying tweet.
it is nice to see the series trying to make a comeback, but the break may have been too long for most people, and once again, we are given fresh plot points, without any deep information into them, and no elaboration on past details.
hopefully this is the beginning of regular updates, i really do hope so.
this video feels like something they needed to do to tie various details into the plot, something that had to be shot to do some explaining and whatnot. hopefully, we will get a proper update from the guys soon enough. there is still not concrete evidence that the group uploaded this video.

EMH: A Dangerous Game

Is it just me, or is EverymanHYBRID playing a dangerous game?
lately their upload schedule has been slow and painful, to the point where many have simply given up.
it is true that busy social and accademic lives have prevailed against the series, and that OOG forces and proven to be more powerful, but is this simply a ruse to make up for their troll like behaviour.
reading this blog will let anyone know how much i adore the series, but even i am becoming a little irritated with the uploads.
well, maybe not irritated, maybe more, confused.
EverymanHYBRID looks set to become another channel filled with a series of plot points that never reach fruition. with a new upload every 5-6 weeks, the schedule is becoming stretched as it is. but the fact that the latest two updates have been uploaded by HABIT (seemingly anyways) it is fair to say that the group are trying to draw viewers back in. viewers that they have lost.
the latest updates have given us alot of new plot points to consider, but they have not elaborated on many older plot points. what happened to Corenthal? the mining town four? HABIT and his trials? exactly, nothing. they just faded into obscurity. the series seems to be in his autumn years, and i fear that the creators may even see fit to simply abandon it, finding that it has grown too large for them.
as far as we are concerned, there has been no update from the group since a halloween tweet, though even this was not serious. no relevant contact has been made at all, and their In-Game characters do not have a reason for this break. especially after what we have seen from the HABIT videos.
the schedule they are using seems to use a monopoly chart thing that i saw on Tumblr, and sadly i saw it to be true. by keeping the amount of uploads down, they are decreasing the consumer surplus and therefore, theoretically, increasing the value of new uploads.
but this is a dangerous game. with so many channels at the moment on break, there is room for new series to squeeze through the cracks, even take over from the made 3. Tribe Twelve has been fairly empty for some time, and Marble Hornets is on its series break. MLAndersen0 is updating slowly, but it's content is still intriging. and while people dont like to admit to it, TJA is finished, with the sequel yet to fully begin.
EMH seems to be waiting until the last possible moment before uploading. they wait and wait until it seems they are forgotten, then upload with an entry so packed full of seemingly meaningless information that the internet explodes with specualtion. then after a week or two of discussion, we are left waiting for the next update. but it doe not come. not when we need it. not when it should arrive. according to data i worked out on my ipod, the series was producing a new entry every 13 days. this is a very steady schedule, and allows for intrigue to build and the mind to really settle on the facts. but they have since abandoned all of this, and gone for new, cheap tactics. something that people will grow bored with.
i hate to say it, but i do not believe we will see EMH in all its glory again. we have had the golden age, and we are left with the dregs. i foresee two scenarios.
1: i am correct, and after several cryptic and dull uploads from HABIT, we are "treated" to a messy and unsatisfying ending to this once perfect series.
2: i am wrong, and the group are able to drum out a perfectly rational reason for their silence, and they resume the series as it once was.
i cannot tell you how much i wish the latter would happen, though the former seems all too likely.
it is with a great deal of sadness that i watch the old videos now. i remember the good times of the frequent uploads, the massive speculation, the plot details that flowed but were so elusive. the days when the series was in full flow. it is so sad to see this ended.
this all may just seem like me throwing my toys out of the pram and throwing a tamtrum because of the lack of uploads, but i think this needs to be recorded. the slow decline of the series.
perhaps they choose to draw this part out, for some greater purpose, or perhaps they simply want to coast for a while, before they can fully resume.
but i fear it may have come down to an issue of arrogance. they have grown self aware of their fame, and have thus decided that they can upload what they want, when they want, and they will still be loved.
and this is a very dangerous game.
for i once loved this series, above all others. but now i feel left alone.
if EMH was a party, then the early series was the pre-party drinks, with the mid-series becominng and epic night out. i fear we are left with the aftermath, the cleaning up and the slowing down. the loss of the buzz. and the morning after is yet to come, the realisation of the damage done, and the repairs that need to be carried out.
i loved you EverymanHYBRID, but it seems you no longer love your fans. if you are content to simply coast on these uploads, then it may be the end of this relationship.

and after everything i have written here, as much as it all sounds so aggressive and spiteful, i really do admire the series, and i cannot tell you how much i want to be wrong. how much i want the series to catch a second wind. how much i want them to return, guns blazing, and dazzle us all over again.
so keep that in mind when you read this. this is the worst part of my opinion, and to be taken with a pinch of salt.
i really do love this series, and i hate to bare witness to this slump. i have expressed my love for this series openly, and on more than one occasion. but even i must admit that it is deteriorating.
but it is a fact that many others love this series, that that any word against it or its creators is never taken with any objectivity. even saying this is playing a dangerous game, but then again, i wouldnt be the only one, would i?

EMH: OUTSIDE HELP

new video from EverymanHYBRID was uploaded today, this seems to be another one from HABIT.
the video seems to be based around Evan, and it looks like the team have been receiving outside help, something HABIT forbade.
the video starts with Evan talking to the guy from another video, confronting him about the slenderman stuff. it is slightly hinted that Evan kills him, as he is not seen again, and distortion appears. the video then cuts to various shots of surveillence, and we see Jeff holding up a disk.
the video cuts again to Evan in his basement on the phone to Vince. Evan is bandaged across his chest and arm, seeming to have sustained injuries in some sort of conflict, having sent Steph to Vince's as "shit was going down".
Evan is then retelling the story, which cuts to shots of him either fighting or defending himself against Nick, the guy from the previous video. Evan explains that Nick broke into the house and tied to kill him. various shots seem to comfirm this.
this could either be because Nick knew Evan was HABIT in some form, or because HABIT had either sent or controlled Nick to kill Evan for breaking the rules.
Evan exlpains that he was asking Nick why he was doing this, but he audio cuts and we hear no details for a few seconds. video cuts seem to show Nick thoroughly beating Evan.
Nick is reported to have simply smiled when asked what he was doing. a definite HABIT sign.
Evan then reveals that Nick is dead, and the video cuts to Evan slowly breaking Nick's neck outside, this time in daylight. when asked whether Evan did it, he responds that he does not know.
Evan states that he was partially unaware of what happened, and that they were fighting in the basement and then they were somewhere else. they were transported to Baldpate Mountain, an effect of the slenderman who may have been present.
Evan seems very distraught that he snapped Nick's neck, which the video shows happened under the tree at the mountain.
Evan then states that while pressed up against the wall by Nick, he heard something in his head saying "let me help" which could have been the slenderman, and could have been what triggered the transportation.
Evan states that it was not like him, it was not him. maybe it was HABIT (?)
Evan then faces one of the cameras while he details finding a surveillance type camera.
the video ends with vince arriving (on phone) and Evan staring down the camera.
this could have been the reason for the break in series, as Evan would have been laying low, but HABIT would want the public to see this.
this is yet another example of the sheer violent power of Evan.
any other ideas i have about this video will be edited in here later:

so after a while to think on it, and do a little research, i have found a few things. for any readers of the CANYOUTSEETHEWORDS blogs, this video seems to permanently link the two Nicks together.
after seeing some of the gif images of the neck snapping, i can make out that not only is Evan bleeding from the mouth, but that he is joyous and laughing when he snaps Nick's neck. this could confirm that Evan is HABIT, and that HABIT is the one who killed Nick.
some have suggested that Vince was the one who bugged Evan's house, as he is depicted as the Voyeur in Box 5, and this would fill it out. this theory is quite plausible, though it would mean that Vinnie is either HABIT or is being taken over by HABIT for use of the footage. the previous two videos, HALLOWEEN HANGOVER, and OUTSIDE HELP are bother assumed to be posted by HABIT.
It can also been shown that Evan is fairly weak and almost defenceless while in the basement, and it is only when he is transported to Baldpate that he somehow gets the upper hand and kills Nick. Nick's body is not seen afterwards, and we do not know what happens to it.
another theory is that the voice that Evan hears that transports them, the one that can help him, could be his split personality, HABIT. coming through to help Evan, while also being given the chance to kill again.
further speculation has born the theory that Nick was the main subject of HABIT, being the one HABIT intended to control as his shell. some have speculated that HABIT was testing out both Nick and Evan, and that this fight to the death was the final decider. the winner would be the new shell for HABIT. and who won? Evan. Evan snapped that neck with glee. if this theory becomes truth, then it means that Evan is to be HABIT like from now on.
cheers
