MYTHOS

The slenderman/operator mythos has grown and grown since its very coneption on a small website merely trying to create a new terrifying character. From that very moment, the slender man grew and grew, molded and shaped by the public into what it is now. He is no longer a simply character that can be simply defined. He is much more. And in many ways he is real.
One terrifying faucet of the mythos is the validity of its realism. The fact that this horrifying creature that can cause so must unrest could actually be a real occurance, that sightings have been reported around the globe and that some people hoenstly believe that he is out there. This is worrying, as the origins of the mythos are easily traced, but proof of the latest theory is arising. The commonly seen wood carving "Der Ritter" has been the most substantial evidence that the fans can produce in the debate over the slender man. I doubt i even need to describe it here.
And with such a powerful character being created, and powerful series became reality, and we were introduced to the nightmarish Operator in the stunning serial "Marble Hornets". The forrunner for all current serials, MH has been the inspiration of thousands, and left even more genuinely terrified for their lives.
I even remember the first time i was exposed to it. it was around this time last year, my brother had informed me of the series and i was fascinated.
Mistake.
i was hooked from the first video, but was watching them in the evening, and the early morning hours. i didnt sleep that night. he haunted my dreams for the few hours i managed to sleep. i even had a vivid dream of him in my own room. i woke up, to horrified to even reach out for the light switch. i spent 30 hours awake after that. it was horrible.
and yet now i can freely watch the videos and i am not horrified. i can sleep afterwards, slendy-free. and that is because i almost want to be in those videos. i have long since lusted after creating my own series, but lack of funds and a means to do so is what stops me. there are also alot of series to keep track of. i tried my own story lines on various formats and was almost planning a totheark like series. but i have decided against it for the most part, mainly focussing on this blog. my interest borders on obsession, and i find myself taking my camera with me everywhere, everhopeful that i will spot the perfect shot for a photo edit, or even slendy himself. but maybe that would be too much for me to handle. slenderman is not real afterall, and there is little point in hoping for this entity to stalk me. its almost disturbing that i want this, even if its only for the photo.
so, what is the blog about? take a wild guess
its my outlet for my ideas. for my interpretations. granted, i am a bit late to the party on the slenderman side, and i am very far behind all the other blogs. but even if few people follow this, at least i have been able to explain myself. i have an average of around 40 videos per channel, and about 10 channels to follow up on now, so i am hoping for a larger report based on each of the channels written prior, during and after viewing each video in the correct sequence. my channel is aimed at networking and creating useable playlists for the public. once everything is up and running, recommended viewing order playlists will be made.
